The man (Richt) himself has acknowledged it was a bad call. I will accept his opinion over yours . It's noble that you are trying to provide cover for him but he obviously doesn't want or need it as he publicly disagrees with you ....as well as 99 out of every 100 interested spectators.

Except for me. I'd still be pissed. I was pissed when it happened and I didn't think Ga Tech was going to score at the time. I just thought that it gave them the best chance to tie up the ball game. Unfortunately, we had terrible containment and then their kicker had the best kick of his life.

i was at a UGA alumni bar gathering and everyone in the room was pissed BEFORE the squib kick because we all knew it was coming. im being serious. we were bitching preemptively just guessing our gutless coach would do it and continued our bitching when it happened.
there is no hindsight involved here. i was bitching before, during, and after doing it about how dumb of a fricking call it was.

That's the thing. Vs AU in 2013, Bama in 2012, USCe this year, and then this game at the end I KNEW they'd do something fricking stupid.
My dad was pumped and saying what a win and I was like dude, there's more than enough time for us to shite the bed. And he squibbed it and I knew it was over. Just another failure, par for the course in Athens.

I was in the car after we scored the go ahead TD and the first thing I thought was "kick that shite to the back of the end zone. There's no way they can get the ball far enough to score in 40 secs." They'd only attempted 2 passes the whole second half.

And you know this how? You don't. A lot of things happened after these fumbles.
What we DO know is that an idiotic kick call enabled Tech to run 1 non-throwing play and get in FG position to tie it up.

I know 21-0 feels a lot better vs a triple option team and makes them start to press. I know the mental makeup of Tech would have been oh shite here we go again, but no you're right those had no bearing on the game at all.

The swann TD offsets one of the fumbles. It was a TD we really shouldn't have had.
