I bolded the players as major contributors...because they were major contributors for us. Do you wear a helmet when leaving the house
You are stretching all realms of reality in this thread.
I asked you what you considered a major contributor. You explicity state helping to win a big game. Now you say a big contributor is to start.
Your post with bolded players was in reference to recruiting. Even among awful recruiting, soneone is going to start. By default, that can't be a measure of a contributor. Or a good recruit.
If helping to win 2 games over a college career makes a great contributor, then we can agree to disagree. Let's just say that one of us has a different set of standards for recruiting and contributing in the SEC than the other.
I'm sure the players that you bolded appreciate their Participation Trophies that you have given them, though. It is wonderful that you have recognized their excellence in life.

Richt recruited decent WRs.
Other than AJ Green, we never really had a truly elite WR, IMO. Just solid 4-star guys with a good head on their shoulders.
Luckily we've had dudes like Stafford and Murray throwing them the football.

Reggie Brown was one, but he never lived up to his billing. I also can't remember if it was Donnan or Richt that recruited him. I think it was Donnan.

WG....I think the problem with your argument is that if you only had 5 pieces of shite playing WR....2-3 of them would qualify as "major contributors." You haven't clarified it very well. To say some guy that had 2 good games in his entire career belongs on this "list," discredits the list. It seems you are just picking "rememberable" names. While a lot of them were great players at WR for UGA, more of the bolded ones had higher expectations then what they produced.
Not saying Richt didn't do a good job of getting WRs....just your argument and the way you are going about it is wrong and full of holes

I bet if a young black dude asked an old white woman in a New England Barnes & NOble if he could join her book club, that she'd mace him and he'd get thrown in jail..

Two potential problems with that, Jeff...
1 - I believe mace is now illegal and not sold to the public, so it would have to be pepper spray.
2 - I believe Barnes & Noble is defunct as a brick and mortar company, and may not even exist as an online retailer anymore.
That said, the spirit of what you say is accurate.

Compared to who and what school? We currently have 5 WR's in the NFL.Name an SEC school that has more

Well, you do have to wonder why they've flourished in the NFL, and why they didn't perform at a higher level at UGA on a more consistent basis. That seems to happen to us quite a bit. Many of our players seem to be better players in the NFL than while at UGA. Justin Houston is a perfect example So is Geno Atkins. Good players at UGA who are absolute beasts in the NFL.

1.Not illegal
2. Still exist in brick and mortar form.
0/2... Not a great showing today.

Was in a Barnes & Noble last week buying some Christmas gifts and picking up a few books for myself.

LSU has 5 WRs in the NFL.
Jarvis Landry and Russell Shepard were both 5 stars per 247.

Funny that a nice feel-good thread about MM turned into another "Hate Richt" session.

I'm guessing that Marlon Brown is on IR? Hasn't played this season. Not listed on the depth chart.

Correct was placed on IR about a week ago.

The contrast between Mitchell and all of the other WRs since we signed him proves both things to be true.

Barstools - I did the research I should have before posting previously.
It appears that Mace is a brand name and that Mace is just pepper spray these days. The original Mace just stopped being used regularly because it was ineffective on some folks. Not because it became illegal.
As for Barnes and Noble, I know they closed several stores a few years back and remember seeing them on one of those year end lists of companies that would likely close their doors in the coming year. As I saw the stores start to disappear, I just figured they were gone.
So, you are correct, 0 for 2 and not a very good showing yesterday. Ill try to do better.
