Just not what we would normally see in a game where we have so much more talent and depth. I left the game not feeling too optimistic.

Do they look the same, worse, or better than last season?

Anyone else a little worried about the secondary going into the showdown vs Fitzgerald and co? We looked a little lackluster at times today.

I'd say slightly better the last year but not near championship caliber

Defense and secondary in general looked pretty unenthused at times which is understandable.

OL looks better than last year but still a liability. Early in the game, the weight of our line alone should allow us to get 2 fricking yards on 4th down. Gonna have their hands full with MSU DL

I agree. We should have pushed them around from start to finish. We only started imposing our will after their lack of depth and conditioning kicked in.

Asked you first. :)

Honestly, I'd say the same as last season. The hope is that we have 5 new starting positions will continue to see improvement each week. They will continue to gel.

We will have to wait and see.

What do you see? Same, worse, or better?

Our OL will struggle vs MSU for sure and our defense might well have the greatest challenge of the season. Dan Mullen has that team hitting on all cylinders and he is an offense mastermind.

What's his record in the SEC?

I think MSU is good, but tonight was about LSU being exposed. They are a bad, undisciplined, poorly coached team with no QB and no offense. Even their defense looks crap.

I expect our defensive line to control MSU's front and dominate, while putting tremendous pressure on Fitzgerald.

What I'm worried about is the OL. Specifically the guards and center. They need to man up and grow a pair. Tackles look pretty good.

Better than last season in that they don't crumble in unison with a hard wind, but they are definitely easily pushed around.

DC for Miss State is pretty good.

I thought the O-Line looked decent... damn near 300 yards on the ground... the D-Line looked a little lethargic. I just feel this team plays to their competition too much. Prime time next week... they'll dominate... just like they did the "best o line in the nation" last week.

No, it's third and Grantham. Dude sucked at UGA. Knock on wood.

Unfortunately, they never do. It is our Achilles hill, without question.

I dunno but his record against Georgia as MSU's head guy is 1-0. I don't think they're scoring 37 next weekend and I think Georgia will run the ball better than LSU did but I'm not exactly confident this is going to be a win.

I'm still trying to figure out how LSU didn't run all over Grantham's defense.

It's better than what you would expect from a team based in Starkville, MS. Mullen is definitely one of underrated coaches doing more with less.
