We should play a game.....

Which one of the following statements is by Trump and not George Washington?

"I would like to talk today about how to develop a new foreign policy direction for our country – one that replaces randomness with purpose, ideology with strategy, and chaos with Peace."

"America First will be the major and overriding theme of my administration."

"The whole world will be safer if our allies do their part to support our common defense and security."

"We're a humanitarian nation. But the legacy of intervention will be weakness, confusion, and disarray."

"We have made the world more unstable and chaotic than ever before. We left Christians subject to intense persecution and even genocide."

"We’re going to finally have a coherent foreign policy based upon American interests, and the shared interests of our allies. We are getting out of the nation-building business, and instead focusing on creating stability in the world."

"Our moments of greatest strength came when politics ended at the water’s edge."

"We need a new, rational American foreign policy, informed by the best minds and supported by both parties, as well as by our close allies."

"We desire to live peacefully and in friendship with other countries. We have serious differences, and must regard them with open eyes. But we are not bound to be adversaries. We should seek common ground based on shared interests."

"Our goal is peace and prosperity, not war and destruction."

"The world must know that we do not go abroad in search of enemies, that we are always happy when old enemies become friends, and when old friends become allies."

I know what lack of substance looks like on a message board, and you are the best representation of that on this board. You are Nothing but trash talk.

You know there is no victory if trump loses to the establishment, but you can't even admit it.

It was funny at first how you relentlessly try to water things down into bite-sized moron chunks so that you can understand them and participate, but that's gone. It's just sad now.

Why can't you entertain the possibility that trump just might lose this election?

Why do you invent mongoloid nonsense like this and then try to apply it to me?

Answer: Because you're dumb. And so you want to make the argument dumb, so you can understand it and participate. This is fascinating.

Whenever someone brings up the possibility of trump losing, you deflect and run into the corner. It seems like you are deeply emotionally attached to him, and a loss would devastate you.

In his heart of hearts he knows Trump won't win. But that's never stopped Jefferson from attacking people on a message board because this is his apparent idea of fun.

Nothing breaking about it to most, but we are talking to a person who acts as if victory has been achieved simply because trump won the gop nomination. Problem is, you can't tell us what that victory is. Maybe you think the gop will never be part of the establishment again, but that would be stupid.

Sorry, wrong thread. I thought maybe we could try to discuss Trump and the nationism/populism uprising with adults. Very stupid of me.

FWIW, the answer is none of them are George Washington quotes. All Trump.

Is there anything stable about the last 16 years? Now look at the two presidents...both outward appearances are mild in tone yet both have been consistently involved in foreign conflict. Why would you fear a big personality that says he has zero interest in this continued policy.

I wonder what trump would have done with the Crimea situation, or the ISIS situation. Fight the bear with military, poke the bear with words, or stay out and appear cowardly?

Conservative Trump Detractors... let me share this with you.

In a Trump presidency..

Day 1:

All radical Obama appointees fired. America is better off in the first 24 hours of Trump.

Scalia's spot on the bench is filled by a constitutionalist. Even if it's not a super-conservative, the person will be more conservative than whoever Hill or O appoint. America is better off in the first 24 hours of Trump.

Immediate moratorium on all immigration requests, until a new process can be sorted out and put into place. America is better off in the first 24 hours of Trump.

Pretty much anything else he does will require an act of congress, so there's no telling what else does or does not get done.

But that first day of Trump in the white house will do a whole hell of alot of tangible things to make America great again.

If you are just mad because you don't think he can beat Hillary, you are making a premature decision. Until now, he's been fighting both republicans and democrats. Now with the official support of the republicans, he can focus on just Hillary. And all the other republicans that were focusing on Trump can also now focus on Hillary.

Trump's got some dirt, but Hillary has more.

Trump is obnoxious, but Hillary is more obnoxious.

THis will be an election of principles.

Such as? Just curious as to who you would be referring to

Positive. I agree with you on this.

If this is regarding refugees, would be big. But we'll see.

I know he can't beat Hillary. That is what has me upset the most. I just don't think he's a competent candidate. That's been the biggest issue with the GOP the last few election cycles. The GOP has had a pretty big image problem, whether correct or not, of being the party of white racist bigots. Trump is simply not helping that. And I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the things he says, simply the way he says them. The GOP needs to repair its image and Trump isn't doing much for that.

Meanwhile, at the adults table: Trump has successfully hijacked the GOP. And last night, he defined its new brand.

This is the party of nationalism, of the working man, the middle class, and of anti globalism now.

The elitist globalist GOP you keep talking about and offering your kid's table concerns and remedies for.... doesn't exist anymore. You are offering your mongo tips to dead dinosaur bones. And you don't even know it. I love this.

The GOP has nominated 2 moderate milk toast in '08 and '12 and got there hats handed to email.

The LAST thing you can accuse either McCain or Romney is bigotry or racism.

On the local, state and federal (non presidential) the GOP is having a very successful run.

Yup. That's a problem. The candidates we've nominated haven't been electable. Same this cycle.

Calls of white racism and biggotry are just leftist tactics meant to shut down debate.

Anybody suggesting this country needs to bend over and live in fear of that kind of bullshite, go in peace...back to the kids table.....and may posterity forget that you were ever our countrymen.
