Thinking "competition" is gonna make more than a small dent in health care costs is more naive than factual. Forcing a cancer survivor to pay a shite ton to have health care coverage is also a fantastic idea. Hope you don't have that in your medical history.

I say some of this tongue in cheek but I think Dubya was a daddy's coattail rider who thought he could invade Iraq like daddy did and make himself a hero. Major fail.

Are you saying its a good thing Trump's finishing the job of killing the Republican Party or he's going to be a good POTUS? I think it's going to be a Twitter infested, scrambled up catastrophe of epic proportions and I don't think he'll get a thing done that he promised. I think soon his mouth, and Twitter, are going to cause Republicans to jump off The Trump Princess in droves. Hope I'm wrong but it's starting badly already. You have to have a thick skin and be a unifier to be POTUS, ala Ronnie R.

I frick with people on the poliboard a lot because it's amazing how psycho and reactionary they are, but truth be told im excited about him changing shite up at the top. Why shouldn't we be getting paid to protect people? We use our money for our military and go around using it to help allies. Taxes are insanely stupid too and while I'm not for scrapping welfare completely due to war vets and handicapped people I think some regulation would be a good start to reform a lot of these programs. My healthcare never went up but pretty much all my friends did, so I'm on the side of reforming that too. But also having lost a close friend because he couldnt get the care he needed due to preexisting conditions I'm for reform and not scrapping that too. I certainly didnt want Hillary to win and personally I think anyone else at the helm on the democrats would have beaten trump, probably the dumbest move on the left. The pendulum has swung too far left and people need to quit being so sensitive about stuff, and do better to work with people across party lines. I hope the best for trump and will support the president regardless.

I do kinda wish he'd chill on twitter a little and not let every little thing warrant a response.

I avoid the political board for this reason, but please elaborate.

My biggest complaint would be the Affordable care Act. We were promised all Americans would have affordable health care, and health care costs would go down.

We still have millions with no health care and my health care has gone from $425 a month to $675 a month with my level of coverage going down....by a lot.
We were told we could keep our same coverage. we were told we could keep our same doctor.

Shall I go on with the failures of the Affordable Care Act?

Well now, that simply is not true.

I argued against trump for far too long with Jeff, and I am still not a Trump fan (Although I am thrilled he beat Hillery)
But Trump disavowed David Duke and the KKK the very next week after they endorsed him.

The very next week he did disavow them. So your contention that he did not is simply false.

Good, but I would have probably disavowed them the very next day, as irrelevant as they are, why give ammo to the idiots on the left?

Well, I was just going by the date of the article. I don't know when he actually disavowed them. As I said...I am not a Trump fan. I am still scared he is going to get us into a bunch of trouble, but I am willing to give him the chance. He was elected. I gave Obama the benefit of the doubt when he was elected, and I find it reprehensible that the left is running around screaming the sky is falling when their chosen one is not elected.

The shite was embarrassing. They're such idiots they knew the rules of the electoral college before the election then claimed it was cheating afterwards. If you pitch that much of a fit because you lost then no one will play with you again, they're used to living in their safe spaces where everyone gets to win, fortunately life has winners and losers. SJW's are losers.

Getting ethereal here...

It is so much easier to add government than to remove it, by design.

If a Trump presidency can do nothing more than simply freeze the growth and scope of government for 4 years, that's 4 more years added to our country's life span.

No only that, but before the election they asked Trump if he would accept the election results, and when he said he might not, they threw a hissy fit.

In fairness, he now mocks them for not accepting said results, when he said he might not.

We agree. I totally hope he is successful in many of the things he tries. We'll have to wait and see. however, you are correct. It is very difficult to get rid of laws or pieces of government once it is enacted.

Trump never even campaigned in his home state of New York, and didn't campaign in CA after the primary. He knew he didn't have a chance in those states.

Even if the electoral college wasn't a factor and we went off popular vote, trump would have campaigned more in those population centers and probably won the popular vote too.

Clinton playing checkers, Trump playing chess.

Which I have to say, was a good move on his part.

What's easier, tying a knot or untying a knot?

Scarier, and this occurred to me playing with play-doh with my toddler the other day...

Once you mash yellow, red, and blue together, you will never be able to separate them. All you can do is add more white to lighten up the gray, or add more red to make it browner. The only way to get back to the beginning is to buy more play-doh; .. "can't get there from here"

Someone please post the REM video.

Isn't it not really funny how almost no one I talk to with any IQ really, really supports Trump. They're just anti-Hillary. Doesn't bode well for our country.

I honestly believe that anybody could have beaten trump except for Hillery. I also believe anybody could have beaten Hillery. No, It's not a good sign.

That said, I am hoping I am dead wrong and Trump comes in and shakes everything up and it improves our political system.

Rubio needs to shut his little bean nibbler or I'll withdraw my ongoing support for his ongoing eventual nomination for president someday.
