Not good for us in any way. Honestly pretty surprised at this. I guess we are all Florida gator fans Saturday....

You frickers freak out over every little thing. Kirby will still be assembling staff and recruiting for Georgia. He will be pulling double duty so I am sure he will task whoever he tabs as OC and DC to handle recruiting duties when he is with Bama. This shite is not the end of the world.

Since he couldn't do much at UGA from a recruiting standpoint, I am cool with it as long as he is formally announced at UGA next week and has his staff together. Might even help with recruiting if recruits know Kirby is loyal to his guys and will see the job to the end.

Obviously, terrible news if we don't get him officially signed and staffed until after the playoff.

Whatever baw. Eason is early enrollee. If Kirby is fricking around coaching Alabama instead of showing this kid what kind of offense we will have he is going to go somewhere else, as he should.

One of his first calls will be to Jacob Eason. It's not like he is not going to call his recruits and meet with them at the Gala. We also have a dead period coming up. This literally means very little.

If you were DC and had a shot at winning the national title, would you leave a month before it happened?

Dear retards Dec 14th to Jan 13th is a recruiting dead period.
So basically our new head coach will be trotted out in front of the camera for 3 high profile games and every time they say his name it'll be New UGA head coach Kirby Smart.

It means nothing if an OC is in place soon, if he doesn't hire an OC until he gets to Athens it means a lot.

Agree...as long as he is officially announced next week and gets his staff together it's fine but still kinda sucks.

THIS. Also, agree on what his loyalty will mean to his FUTURE players. Not to mention a couple more rings. I'm 100% certain no recruit would hold this against him at all.

We good, folks.

I'd probably stick around if it was my first. If I've won 3 or 4 already Id probably leave.
