Anyone else been paying attention to his comments and demeanor the last year and how hard everything is? He was talking about how nick found a way to just enjoy his team and that's what he is doing. I don't think he coaches for much longer if he doesn't take a break. Unfortunately the signs are there.

I’ve worried about how long he can keep up this pace and level of intensity. Coaching, recruiting, managing all of those staff members, etc.

I don’t think he coaches into his 70’s like Saban, but I think he has longer to coach than some have speculated.

I don’t think his retirement is coming any day now, but wouldn’t be surprised at all if he retires in his 50’s.

I think Kirby hires better than Nick. The job is obviously high stress, but the program is so well put together (and there seems to be so much more comraderie rather than contention) that it's likely his stress level is lower than Nick's.

Also, if your are the perfect job for your skillset, making excellent money, and at the top of your profession, why leave?

Imagine going through all that same intensity and stress, and not winning championships. But coaches keep coaching because it's in their blood.

I don't think he'll last more than 10-15 years. Hopefully, he's grooming a successor.

Nothing wrong with reminding everyone that shite ain’t easy and don’t take it for granted.

I am sure watching Saban continues to give him perspective..while he is living it.

That post game presser was definitely the worse I've seen Kirby look.

I think he's finally starting to realize the pressure that comes with winning national titles and the expectations of the fan base.

Georgia will obviously lose a game at some point and honestly I think Kirby might be okay with that lol

Kirby looked worse last week at his post game. More stressed. He was actually a bit jovial at this one.

Based on his body language Saturday, I'm afraid Kirby only has 35-40 years of coaching left in the tank.

Successor. Mark Richt or Nick Saban (depending on how you look at it) would be his predecessor.

Another point is that it’s no accident that he has Bobo and Muschamp - two guys that by all accounts his personal friends - at the OC and (Co) DC positions. Muschamp will obviously step into the DC role when Schuman eventually takes his shot.

Do those guys ever want to try the HC gig again? I don’t know but they may be fine making good money all working together at UGA. If so, what would be better than working with your buddies coaching at your alma mater? That would definitely be a better gig than dealing with a rotating door of assistants like Saban has had to deal with lately.

I think it will be a while before Kirby's competitive fire burns out. Like others have mentioned he as two former head coaches on staff,(Bobo and Muschamp) to help bare the burden.

I think when Andrew Smart starts playing competitive high school sports that’s when I’ll worry about Kirby stepping away. Heard on DawgPost Andrew is going to be a problem in the future lol

Holy shite... yall live in the moment and soak it in, I was Twenty fricking Seven with a son, and a daughter in the oven in 1980...

Never thought I'd see another NC much less 2IAR and a 44-1 streak like we've been on, breath it in, smell the napalm
and victories we're laying waste to the rest of CFB with...

This run with Kirby at the helm might end tomorrow or in 5yrs or 15, but frick it, enjoy erry minute.
