You had me up until Riley. Why would he bail on a playoff team? Maybe he got busted banging coeds too?

Why the frick would UGA buy Squattin-heimer's house?

Because it might be in his contract?

Radi was the only one saying Pruitt when everyone else was convinced that Kirby was coming in, post-Grantham.

Concessions of that sort are not unusual at that level when you get fired. No big deal IMO. UGA buys and sells, if we take a hit on it, we take a hit.

t sounds like our ol pal Monte is piecing together every bit of information he can glean from behind paywall. Not a bad strategy, really. He looks like a real insider.

All it takes to be an insider is a bit of hacking skill. Monteg is the ghost in the machine.

This reminds me of the same thing. Everyone is saying Kirby but it could come out of left field.

frick, my senile old arse shoulda remembered that. How you doing? You've been kinda scarce on here. You come out OK in the SC floods(If IIRC you're in Columbia)?

Respect your opinion, whats your take??

Ha, it's all good. I've been busier than hell for the past year and a half or so. As the economy creeps back onto track, work/manufacturing is picking back up and I seem to have about a half dozen irons in the fire at all times. It's good for the bottom line and my wallet, though.

The Mrs. and I were very lucky as Columbia was hit hard, but the worst thing that happened to us was a small roof leak. We had a couple friends lose everything (they're covered through flood insurance), so we understand just how lucky we are.

As far as this situation goes, I've been wooed into the Smart camp. Great recruiter and would assemble one hell of a staff, in my opinion. Having the best players is 90% of winning a football game. I believe that Smart can take UGA from that 5-10 recruiting range to the 1-3 range.

Also, McGarity can get bent. I think parting ways with Richt is a positive (I appreciate all he has done, it's just time to try and reach the next level), but McGarity has bungled this from a PR stand point. It's not the first time, either; the man is a walking PR-nightmare. I'm not sure if he is socially inept or if he's just a smug a-hole. He has come across as one of the least likable people in the southeast, and that's saying something. Don't even get me started on how cheap he is...

Mansell at 247 mentioned Pruitt's name very early on and a lot of people in the industry gave him shite for it. Out of all the beat writers, Rusty is probably the one I trust the most.

I used to like Radi but the dude is nothing but walking click-bait now. I understand the industry he's in, but he can take it over the top.

The concession is that UGA will owe Squattin-heimer about $2 million dollars for firing him as per his contract.

I'm going to need to see something besides a message board rumor before I believe that uga is dumb enough to buy and sell his house for him too on top of that.

Are they also going to pay his moving expenses to canada for his next job in the CFL? Takes a lot of gas to get up there..

For a guy who puffs his chest out and acts like he's the only one who has a clue besides PB, you're really frickin ignorant.

Keep posting in this thread. It's rather amusing seeing you with your bridge covering the moat.

Gemmi did a great job with that house.

I heard that UGA will be paying a kid to go water Gemmi's house plants while they are out of town looking for new employment.

If I remember correctly, the only reason Radi was on the Pruitt thing first was because he saw him at Butts-Mehre the morning the hire was announced.

IF UGA likes the idea of a spread, why not go after Larry Fedora and keep Pruitt?

posted yesterday. that had to be a joke.

I'm beginning to think more and more that Herman's statement yesterday about the "agreement in principle" was political posturing for a HC whose team plays in their league championship game this week, more than anything. Emphasizing that nothing is signed wasn't necessary.

Sadly, if folks are correct, our people are too fixated on Kirby to realize that we could have the crown jewel of this coaching cycle but they don't see it...

Nauseating.

I feel that the Herman/Pruitt Offensive/Defensive match would be a really good one for both sides of the ball. Just my opinion though..
