This wasn't a ground zero rebuild and he was left with talent on this roster...more than Strong inherited at Texas.
So McElwain wins the SECe his first 2 years and Mahlzan plays for NC in his 2nd but poor,little,KS gets 5 years?

Eye test wise this team was the worst since 2010 (arguably worse). When have we went a whole season where we didn't have one good blowout win? Almost losing to Nicholls, losing to Vandy at home, blown out by a below average Ole Miss team, and zero wins over rivals.
Playcalling has been suspect all year long and way too predictable. Would love to kick Chaney to the curb. I've seen enough of his offense.

Dang you're right. Still, we're lucky to get a pick six to win that one. Just an absolutely frustrating season.

Got it.
Kirby should get at least 3 years IMO, and I'm one of his biggest critics, but I'd like to see what he can do with is recruits. He just has to work on his clock and game management and we should honestly pay someone this offseason to sit down and work with him on it.

I'll be very disappointed if we don't show improvement next year. No team in the east that Should be a favorite over us to based on the talent levels. My concern is you can't build a good OLine in a year but we should be serviceable enough to win.

I'll give him till 2018. If we don't win at least 10 games and make the SECCG that regular season, he was a failure based on what the goal of the hire was.

I always said: Kirby fricking smart? Are you serious? People crucified me. Remember... that same guy declined an opportunity (twice) to be our DC... How much time should we decline his arse?
