Briscoe never defended any pass but, as a spectator, he had a great view of every reception.

A DB who never turns his head and doesn't ever see the ball before the catch is totally worthless. Kirby must play someone else.

According to Kirby that was part of it. We didnt play alot of man coverage and put corners on an island.

We played zone in the second half vs Mizz and shut him down. Guess that is coaching. Put them in the best spot to be successful...right?

Where is our touted 5 star Mecole Hardman? If we're playing young people for experience, get him in there and get this loser out.

So, it is defensive play calling that is hurting us ?

Perhaps that is part of it, but the quality of our opponents passing games is the main difference. Last years group never faced a qb as good as the 3 we have faced this year.

Can we not give Ole Miss any credit? You frickers act like Briscoe COULD have defended it. Did any of you watch Ole Miss vs Bama? They did the same thing to them. torched their secondary...at Bama...where people sip Saban's pre-cum.

Briscoe might suck, but I doubt ANYONE on this roster can defend those big arse recievers at Ole Miss. It was a horrid matchup for us. We won't face another passing attack like that the rest of the year.

That was a very good offense we faced Saturday....maybe the best in the country...def in the top 5. For fricks sakes, can we give them a little credit? Not many people will stop their offense..Bama simply had to out score them.

Ole Miss has a heck of an offense but our secondary got lit up by Mizzou as well. Mizzou completed lots of big play passes against us. I saw poor tackling and very bad technique. It's not helping that our O is so anemic either. Part of playing great D is having an offense that can keep your opponent's O off the field.

We have so many issues at UGA right now that I do not know where to start. Since Kirby was the DC at Bama, I figured our D would be decent. It is not and we are in trouble.

They got out of man against Mizz and went more zone and shut him down in the second half. Not saying they could have done that against Kelly. Am saying that the defense looks good against a good passer this year when they put a good game plan into play.

He's indicating Hardman made the switch in fall camp about 5 weeks ago. Pretty sure he's not fully ready to cover receivers like Ole Miss has.
