I think that Richt is very cautious about switching players back and forth unless it is absolutely unavoidable. He caught a ton a flak from the media and fans for basically squandering Richard Samuels' athletic ability because he was moved around so much and never really found a home at one position. We had to do it with Mitchell at CB because were so damn thin there, but we're not there yet at WR. I think Terry will get some PT this year at DB, but I'm not sure he'll move over to WR and beat out Davis, Williams, Godwin, Chigbu, or even Wilson for any PT at this point in camp.

that's what walk on white kids are meant for on a top end CFB team. That and acting as cannon fodder for punt block practice.

Also, Sony Michel was already playing some slot last year. I am guessing we will see him there again. Keith Marshall also has good hands.

Sony and Keith are both solid receivers out of the backfield and down field, and Chubb has reportedly been working a lot in the off-season to improve on his pass catching out of the backfield.

Chubb getting a lot of passes out of the backfield would be huge

Please, are we really gonna go there?Nobody squandered anything. He wasn't athletic enough or good enough to start at LB,TB or FB. He had a whole redshirt season to learn LB and still couldn't win a job.He also got beat out at FB by a walk on...who knows maybe his wrist injury had a bigger effect on his career than we thought.

He's a DGD and I wish him nothing but the best but he just wasn't the player rivals or whoever thought he would be.

Remember Chubbs one handed catch and then td run vs UT last year with a broken hand?

Shotty has been talking about a 4-TE set.

I think you misunderstood. He loves using 2 TE's at the same time. All 4 will play in games though.

And he should be thankful for the opportunity

I'm not sure thankful is the right word. Most of them were really good in HS and are hoping to get better in College and have a shot at PT. I'd say less than 5% were just out there to wear the uni and see the show. They do it to earn a spot on special teams by showing full effort on the scout team. When I was on the scout team my rs season, we wanted to beat the 1s and 2s. Not to make them better, but because we had pride. We weren't out there hugging them after plays, nor were they shaking our hands thanking us for making them better. When we put our hats on, we hated those motherfrickers.

And it didn't matter that much if they were walk ons either. Scout team is scout team, with the exception of a few dudes who were redshirting for unique reasons.

There was an article were he mentioned the possibility of putting all 4 on the field in a jumbo set and putting Jeb or Davis out wide because of their athleticism.
