I dvr'd it, but I watched it sober and on a delay so I could fast forward through commercials, I feel like I got a really good look at everything.

So no... I don't plan on rewatching it. Frankly I regret watching it the first time.

Agree. No way I'd rematch that.

Was supposed to be a celebration of WonderBoy's debut. But now I've probably got insomnia.

This is why I thought Lambert should have started and Eason come in later like last week. Eason didn't control the huddle and the offense was not in sync. After watching Mizzou Saturday I'm actually worried about the game. Definitely I'm worried about Ole Miss, the Voles, and the Lizards.

We won... A W is a W!
Yes it was ugly. With a freshman QB and a 1st year 1st time HC. Ive said all along we would lose 3 or 4 and one loss would be to Nichols or ULL.
And IMHO a CMR led team would've lost that game Saturday.

On another note this is the scene that kept running thru my head watching the game Saturday....

So you thought we might lose to a team thats lost its last 2 games to FBS opponents 97-0?An FCS team that was picked to finish next to last in its conference? On what basis would you make this bold prediction?Sorry, calling complete BS on this.

The closest any FCS team came to beating a CMR coached team was 20 points vs. Georgia Southern in 2004 amd the average margin of victory was 41 points BUT we lose this game with CMR on the sideline when he didn't come CLOSE in his 15 years as our HC?

Can we just put the pom poms down for 1 freakin second and admit that this was a very bad performance from our coaches? We were essentially clueless on the O-line and gave up 7 plays for losses. The team wasn't prepared going into the games and couldn't make adjustments against a bad FCS team.

Ya I agree. Everyone is like awww its a freshman QB and a new coaching staff.

frick that.

Those might hold water had we won like 45-21...but a 2 point win in our own stadium to a 45 man roster of FCS players who haven't won more than a handful of games over the past few seasons who, ironically, also had a true freshman QB.....

That team was a glorified GA 5A high school team and they took us to the ropes and we literally won by Chubb's sure will to get 7 yards even though the entire oline had pretty much given up.

This team's mental toughness is not good...there is no leadership...no fire....what I saw Saturday was an abortion. I shutter when I think about Chubb losing 5 yards on a rushing play and gtting smashed int he backfield while our fat frick lineman put their hands on their hips and waddle back to the huddle.

We are not a good football team. Will that change? God I hope so, but our issues run deeper than a new QB and a new coach. There was just so much bad Saturday that I see no way to fix it all in a week...hell in a season. I think its clear at this point that we are a 4 loss team and we need to accept that. Every game we play from no until December will be a battle.

Dig in boys, its gonna be a long year.

Did you think we were this bad against UNC? If not, then if something changed in that week, it can change for the better next week. No need to get pessimistic just yet.

We played descent against UNC...and thats what worries me the most...how quickly it all went down hill.

Ask yourself this...why? How did we, coming off a huge win in our opener, regress to a FCS level performance? I mean I understand its hard to get up for these games...but to get your arse whipped in the trenches by the FCS powerhouse Nicholls and watch Heisman contending RB get hit behind the line of scrimmage over and over and over again while our receivers struggle against FCS corners...that is some scary shite.

I don't get it and I think most fans don't. This team has issues that they were able to keep in check the first game.

How do you sink so far in 4 days? Teams are supposed ot get better the most between week 1 and week 2..

I seriously dumbfounded by this team Saturday.

There are several things that can cause a team to regress. Lack of interest, overlooking opponent, trying to play vanilla, illness, etc.

If we play the same way on Saturday i'll begin to wonder what the hell is going on. Until then, I'm chalking this up as a major learning experience for the team and hopefully a motivator.

We all knew this was coming....we have a very young but deep offensive line, a Freshman QB, no playmaking receivers and a brand new coaching staff. We also have a 15 year infection of not really caring if you win or lose....that shite is in our DNA now and it will take a while to rid ourselves of it if we are ever able to do so. Smart and company may not be the answer.....it may take 5 years of MISERY...but whatever it takes we are on the right track to get rid of the institutionalized disdain for hard work and apathy toward winning or losing that was the last few years of the Mark Richt era...

We also have a pretty talented defense and possibly the best back field in the country. That mental abortion on the field Saturday needs to get fixed quit, and I am just not sure its fixable. I do agree that its time for a mindset change at GA and I do believe that will take some time, but man was Saturday hard to watch.

I'd rather rewatch the UF game from last year...thats how bad Saturday was.

I agree and we all need to pump the brakes. Our starting LT is a grad transfer from Rhode Island . Think about that...he's the best we got for LT. You may argue Wynn is - but we need him elsewhere. Other than Catalina - Kubs and Pyke are our only Sr.'s in the 2 deep for the OL.

Our two best QB's are 1) a true freshman and 2) a guy who couldn't start for VA. They're the best we have. Eason will be great but a year ago he was going to prom in Washington.

Our two best receivers are quick but undersized. Our big guys are freshman/sophmores. Do we think the young guys received good coaching last year? I doubt it. They can't get separation and this coupled with the issues at QB and OL have really given us passing problems.

Our RB's are all world - but if the line can't get it together and we don't have a passing attack they can only do so much.

3 of our starters in key positions are graduates from other colleges we picked up in the last 2 years (2 this year). QB, LT and DB. Seriously?

This team can play inspired and probably beat anyone. But we're just not good enough in our OL, QB and overall passing game to just show up and win. Getting them ready is on our current staff. But the fact that we're dealing with these depth issues isn't.

We're going to struggle for the next 2 years until we build some quality depth - if we don't these guys will have done a great job.

So you guys are saying that the quality of play on the field Saturday against Nicholls was a depth issue?

Not on your life.

Do we have a talent deficiency? Of course we do, but should it be so bad as to have a slug fest with Nicholls? Not on our worst day.

I am talking mental toughness, preparedness, Fire, swagger, leadership...the invisible factors that govern a good football team. I didn't see them Saturday. I am really hoping we have some players and coaches for that matter, step up and help this team gel.
