Commutative property does not apply with sports.

Apples and oranges? There has to be a little to it.

Different game. Different context. Not comparable.

And no.. their defense isn't better. Clemson is not on their game tonight, and they are still about to run away with it.

While comparing the games is a bit unfair...their angle...pursuit and tackling techniques look to be better coached then ours.

per The King,

NC State's defensive 2-deep is seniors and juniors.

Ours is alot of freshmen and sophomores.

Our talent level is better, but suffering on the experience level.

Clemson also ran a different offense against UGA, they didn't huddle much. This game, they are doing alot of huddling and actually trying to grind some clock.

If Clemson decided they wanted to open it up on NC St and go balls to the wall as if they thought they might lose if they didn't, then they'd probably be up 70 right now.

And that's how they played Georgia.

Every situation on every night is completely different. Environments, play calling, scheming, players, etc.. Are different.

So just because nc state is holding them to less points than we did (for now), doesn't make them better than us.

Just because A=B and B=C in sports A =\= C

A lot of teams are about a touchdown better defensively at home versus on the road.

I hadn't been watching this game, but that is an obvious difference.

No but they aren't much if any worse which does not speak well for our defense. I will say this, N.C. State's OL gave their QB a lot better protection than ours gave Murray vs Clemson.

I wouldn't say their defense is better, but I would still say that ours isn't very good at the moment.

Definitely. And Rice's is just a tad worse than Alabama's .

Texas A&M 52 Rice 31
Texas A&M 42 Alabama 49

You can't go by scores.

Our D sucks right now, if it continues this trend then the guys graduating and leaving for the draft can take Granthy with them!

Waaaaaiiiiit a minute! That was sarcasm, wasn't it? If you think rankings at this point of the season are accurate then there is no use explaining this to you....however, I will try, because I am stubborn.

We played Clemson and South Carolina.
NC State has played Clemson, La.Tech and Richmond.

Who do you think has played the tougher schedule and will show up as a better defense in rankings at this point? now, after we play teams like N. Texas State, Appalachian St., Kentucky will our numbers look MUCH better, or worse?

Even at the end of the season North carolina State defensive numbers might look better. but when we play LSU, Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia Tech etc...and N. Carolia St. plays Central Michigan, Duke, Boston College, Maryland...well....there is quite a difference in SOS and offenses.

Our defense is not very good right now. But I saw a big improvement from Clemson to SouCar. I also expect to see a difference as the season goes along. Our defense WILL get better. I expect our defense to be average by seasons end, which MIGHT or might not be good enough with our offense.

You guys have to learn to relax and not run around like your hair is on fire every time something doesn't look good to you.
