Marshall only had 6 carries for 8 yards and I don't think I saw him come in the game in the 4th quarter. He just didn't look like he had much of a burst or drive the few times he did carry the ball. Can't help but wonder if he is gun-shy after recovering from such a serious injury. Can't help but feel badly for the young man.

That injury is in his head. Michel is running like he won't ever be hurt. There was one pass Marshall was running while trying to catch it and was too worried looking ahead and dropped the pass. Running a sweep with him would be okay, but that injury is in his head.

The honest truth is KM was only a slight lean ahead of Chubb and Michel on the depth chart when fully healthy.

Coming off a bad injury it's clear he needs to be 4th string. Work him slowly until he's ready to make the cuts that are needed.

Marshall's problem is his balance. He is too off balanced to make it past the first guy w/out getting tripped up. If he could figure out the balance thing, then he could be real good. He kinda reminds me of Richard Samuel when he gets arm tackled.

I would love for us to use him out in the slot or little dump passes to him. Let him out in space where he can grab a decent chunk of yards before a defender is on him.

Played on special teams after the "re-injury". I think he's fine, physically.

Hurt? Not sure. But when he was in the game, the offense stalled. I don’t know if it is a mental game, but Chubb and Michel looked better. I know the coaching staff loves Marshall, but there is a chance he starts to lose carries. I don’t want to dismiss him after one game, but there is a lot of talent behind him

I know KM is probably not happy right now, but he's going to struggle to take snaps away from Sony Michel. From what I've seen, even though Keith is faster top end, Sony is quicker and has better balance, and according to the coaches Sony has very good receiving skills.

Yep, I have noticed this also. He seems to go down like a sack of potatoes on initial contact. And I agree with others who think the injury is affecting him psychologically; he seems to be playing to not get hurt and objectively I would probably be reacting the same.

Marshall is not a between the tackles power runner, which is a shame given his size. Lining him up in the slot and having him run end around action after a fake up the middle to Gurley/Chubb might be one way to get him going again. Get him involved in the screen game. He's too good of a weapon to get lost in the shuffle, but we have to find the right ways to get him the ball.

As the season develops Marshall will have his moments. Coming back from a knee takes time but Richt will work to find creative ways to make Keith productive.

Georgia's opponents are likely to discount Marshall at their peril.

Keith is still awkward in that second from getting the handoff to the LOS. He runs full speed to the designed play hole and often ends up running straight into a defender or a OLmans back. And he appears off balance as his feet do the Fred Flintstone shuffle when he gets stuck. He is much better in open space and might be best suited for speed sweeps, screens, etc from here on out. Michel is very quick and shifty and appears to be explosive enough to bust through the arm grabs. Chubb is a very quick and fast bulldozer.

I don't think anyone his hatin' on Marshall. On the contrary, everyone including yours truly is pulling for the young man to make a full recovery from a bad injury. But objectively, Marshall has never looked like a tough runner through the tackles and I agree with others that he might best be used as a slot receiver especially considering our receiving core is diminished with Mitchell still hurt and Justin Scott-Wesley suspended.

Likewise. Douglas is a bull with more speed/quickness than Hicks though Hicks was just what the doctor ordered at the end of the game last night.
