Interesting question.

No, because each poster sounds different. Here's how you sound.....

-GO here. LINK....

-Where it says "Select a Voice", select "Ryan".

-Then cut n paste the following text into the text body.....
quote:

TIL: UGA fans are easily agitated by the use of Samford instead of Sanford. Good stuff. I aspire to become human one day. CNB out.

-Then, click "Listen".

What's the point of closing in the endzone?

There is no point, it'd be a massive waste of money at this point. If we were to do it it should've been in place of the 03 expansion. IMO.

- Add brick facades to the concrete skeleton that match the brick work and design of Reed Alley

- Expand the 300 level concourse on the north side of the stadium outward.

- build a light rail platform over East Campus Rd that connects to the East endzone of the stadium.

I have said before that from people I know and what the guys in that dept said in our classes is that UGA has no plans now or in the future of expanding and will probably never close that end zone in. This is because 1) they think Bama, LSU, A&M and etc are making a mistake expanding when attendance is dropping nationwide and because 2) the sightline is classic.

I used to want to expand but we can't even get our lazy arse students in there in time at 92,746 and I have also come to realize that's plenty.

It would be a colossal mistake to add more seats, especially at the cost of the bridge. We have enough trouble filling it up as it is. Improve the areas within and around the stadium if you wanna spend the money.

I hate the 600 section just makes the top line of the stadium stupid I would of rather seen endzone complete which would never happen

Anyone else feel sorry for the OP?

At least y'all started answering his question by page 3. I thought he was gonna get 5 of "frick off".

In the future blame autocorrect.

I'm not too proud to admit that I spent a good 10 minutes typing in vulgar and ridiculous phrases for "Ryan" to say. Fun stuff.

Might contain noise better. Loudest stadiums are closed. Other than that........

Never close in the bridge. It takes advantage of Sanford's best feature- being a natural part of the center of campus.

Not to mention that the problem with Sanford noise level isn't the fact that it isn't closed in (though that might help some). The problem is how spread away from the field the seats are due to the natural bowl that the stadium was built into. Acoustically, it's just not a loud space; the sound has plenty of room to travel and escape (unlike Neyland, Jordan Hare, Qualcom, Ben Hill Griffin, etc. which are built with seats close to the field and at a steeper incline relative to Sanford).

I thought forever they just forgot to finish the concrete towers. Those need to be red or brick or lite up with color or something. Fugly they are.

As for the end zone, enclosing it doesn't remove the stadium from the center of the campus. You could easily enclose it and leave a view of some nature. The main reason we don't need to enclose it is because we are barely selling out most of our games now.

What they really need to do is upgrade the PA System so we can hear anything that comes out of that fancy scoreboard.
