Ummm... Maybe.

However, I'm sick of 10 win seasons. I want a title shot. CMR has yet to prove he can get us over the top running his "clean program".

If you're not cheating, you aren't winning crystal footballs.

Hope he and the Dawgs prove me wrong.

I agree to an extent, but not worth the sanctions after getting caught.

I agree, I see something special in this team too. I've been a dawg fan since a little boy, I was raised right. This year I see something different, they have what I can only describe as "team speed" that I saw in Bama when they won their first crystal with Saban. The ball gets snapped, and whether offense or defense, they just seem to move like the tv is in a slight fast forward, with the other team in regular speed. I remember seeing that with Florida in the 90's too. It's almost like watching a west coast team, except every player is 80 pounds heavier.

I've followed the Dawgs since '66, had season tickets for 30 years and have not been to many games in the last 17 years, but I've seen the highs and lows over the years. This years team is on a mission, players with NFL potential hanging around for another year instead of going for the cash, a workman like attitude that hasn't been seen in Athens in most of CMR's tenure or before and a real team unity that hasn't existed since the "pig incident" in the summer of 1980. Will this team get over the mountain top? Hard to say for sure and I have to be skeptical, as we have all been disappointed when our hopes were up. That being said, the 2012 Dawgs have more than just a shot and the next few weeks will tell the tale as Championship teams find a way to win in spite of the adversity that takes place over the course of the season. It will be interesting!

Totally agree... Which is why I said it has to be this year for Richt in another thread. I just don't seem him getting us there running a "strict and clean program", unless it's this year, with this team and schedule.

Kinda sucks because we wait all offseason for CFB, and then can't wait to see the end.

Every team is special due to the unique combination of players that changes every season in college ball. What makes this team special:

1. Dream team + a nice set of Freshmen from the 2012 class aka, Gurley, Marshall, Theus, etc.
2. This team is the wheat separated from the chaff. We are down to about 70 scholarship players from a NCAA allowed 85. This is what remains after significant attrition of trouble makers, non-qualifiers, etc.
3. As such this team seems to have better discipline, more focus and team spirit.
4. 2nd year starters from the Dream Team who played as Freshmen and true Freshmen have been empowered on this team and will be an even better veteran unit next season when Murray is a Senior.

Well I predict UGA is going to be undefeated after the SECCG but then the world ends on 12-21-12. Once again close but no cigar. Further proof God hates UGA football.
