You can't act like everything is the same either. Do I want UGA to fight this (I know UGA suspended him but I'm hoping it's because they knew the NCAA was coming...otherwise that's a whole other complaint)? Yes.

How much did you hear people bitching about the program for kicking off players that stole from teammates, beat up girls, stuff like that? People were pissed those players messed up obviously but noone was complaining that the program was out of line for kicking them off. People who don't agree with you can still be fans, alumni etc.

This is a good post at GTP for you.

I do agree with having integrity and still believe in..."it's how you play the game" win or lose...but the NCAA witch hunts and the way the institutions proceed with implied guilt before anything is proven and the penalties passed down for some of these infractions seem to be off by quite a margin...

I think UGA could have handled this differently..with integrity...CMR being the talking head for the suspension was the first bad move..

I agree with you. I wouldn't sell my soul to the devil for a championship.

No one cheated, TGII did not cheat. It's NCAA bullshite and the UGA admin could be like Tamu or the barners and say he's playing until you prove he's guilty. The only problem is the UGA admin are a pack of fricking pussies just like our piece of shite coach!

I tend to agree..but am I assuming correctly that if we do that and then they do find him guilty we basically forfeit all of our wins for the season..probation? Just curious..

It would be a sticky situation but look at how it turned out for the barners and TAMU. The NCAAA wants to poke around when they have no proof. If they couldn't get proof on Scam Newton then they need to retire. frick em, it's a witch hunt for October, they were bored.

Yea now that hes suspended by UGA, if he's re-instated then obviously we get hammered if he is guilty.

Before all of this, I guess the program could've said "he denied it" and that no one had any credible evidence (assuming those were both the case).

If they weren't, they certainly have the red carpet rolled out for them now

all people are not created equal sweet heart...and yes...a voice of worth can be expressed, calculated, and quantified..

I would suspect my voice has a ton of worth depending on the subject...

If UGA simply "played by the rules" I'd be ok. But we self impose much harsher rules and enforce them vigorously.

I dont want to be Auburn. But I think scheduling a drug test the first day back from spring break reeks of bullshat.

yep

and people actually wonder why UGA fans always feel like there's a disaster waiting whenever anything looks remotely positive. Instead of channeling Munson, I think we just understand reality. That or a long career following UGA made Munson that way too. The circle of UGA...

Radi had a article that was along these lines and almost eerily predicted this news

quote:

The Bulldogs are a blown holding call away from being undefeated and ranked No. 3 in the nation. They have the best player in college football and the offense is racking up 45 points per game (2nd best in the SEC). The defense is giving up eight less points per game than last year and arguably the most coveted defensive coordinator in the nation is stalking the sidelines in Sanford Stadium. There have been dramatic improvements in special teams and turnover ratio yet a huge portion of the fanbase is waiting for the other shoe to drop. They have been close before. Last year they saw Georgia defeat two No. 6 teams before a series of injuries doomed the season. Georgia fans have had the best receiver and the best quarterback before, but failed to win any hardware. The Bulldogs have been ranked No. 1 coming into a season only to have another infuriating year of close but no cigar. So can you blame them if they flinch every time Gurley takes a hit or Hutson Mason throws an incompletion?

The fans are now programmed to expect the worst. They are preparing themselves for the eventual letdown. Georgia ran rings around Vanderbilt yet it wasn't enough. The Bulldog faithful are bracing for an impact that may never come. But you know what? They're probably right.

The other shoe has dropped Radi
