It's going to be interesting to see where he stacks up in this CSU coach search. Oregon's OC and the DC at Texas are also being interviewed. Bobo definitely has the strongest resume of those three, i believe.

UGA was able to give Bobo a raise to put him above what Georgia SOuthern was going to pay a few years ago. But, they'd have to make Bobo a millionaire this time to try and top what Colorado State would pay.........

What CMB brings to the table in recruiting cache alone makes him qualified to break 7 figures, IMO. Losing out on Eason and Cleveland would be a huge blow to the program. Those guys are game-changers.

Yeah Bobo definitely needs a substantial raise. I just don't know about the 7 figures thing. That's just me though.

My people are telling me that Richt has revealed to Bobo that he only plans to coach for 3 or 4 more years......(due to hip problems)

This is why Bobo is going to take the next head coaching job he is offered.

He realizes if he coaches somewhere for 3 or 4 years and has moderate success, that he then becomes the top candidate to replace Richt when the time comes.

It seems like most people aren't really taking this seriously. That Bobo will never leave UGA..........

I think if Bobo is offered this job, he'll take it. He'd be crazy not to.

It could be like when Grantham left and it felt like it came out of nowhere and nobody could believe that it actually happened. But, this time it won't come as good news.

The reason I don't have a problem breaking the bank with CMB now is that for the last 3 seasons, he's set new records as far as prolific offenses at UGA goes. Not watching the 2015 & '16 recruiting classes self destruct is enough for me.

Makes no sense that someone would plan to leave their job in "three or four years" for hip issues they experience now. Makes less sense that they would socialize that plan with anyone else other than your spouse.

It was a joke......

The retarded idea that Richt was considering retiring early due to "hip pain" was a common rumor from Insiders on here last year.

If people really want MB as the new HC post CMR then having him out at CSU getting HC experience is in their best interest.
Promoting from within at the executive level has not been the UGA way in the past.

Nice thread by the way.

I have full confidence we can lose 3 - 4 games a year without him just like we do with him.

I think he leaves......does a great job out there fighting the Gauls for a few years.

Emperor Richt abdicates the throne and travels throughout the empire. While in a Roman province called Judea, Richt hears a sermon by a Jewish Carpenter and then spends the rest of his life as a "Fisher of men."

Then like Caesar, Bobo rides back into Rome....uh I mean Athens, triumphant. He overthrows everyone in the ButtSmear Senate in what is known as "Nox cruentam canes" and UGA's Legion of Red and Black marches to glory crushing everyone in their wake.
