I figure we have the room and he's talented enough. I see no issue in bringing him on.

I think there is almost no doubt we would take Kamara, honestly just for the recruiting benefits. Not only will it look terrible for Bama, but it will also help with other Norcross guys and look great to our in state recruits. In terms of him as a player he is very explosive and I see us experimenting with him as an athlete, kinda how Percy Harvin was used at UF.

He could be good in Clemsons scheme. I just don't see him coming to UGA for multiple reasons.

The reasons for him coming to UGA would be mostly non-football reasons. He has a lot of friends on the team and is very close with BMac.

So he's very close to the coach, has friends on the team, and still went to Bama? WTF is wrong with these kids

As weird as it sounds, I think Bama's depth actually helped them last year. It seemed like Kamara got tired of hearing about how he wouldn't get to play at Bama, so he set out to prove people wrong and picked them. He was also close with K Smart, but doesn't come into contact with the DC very much once in school there.

It's water under the bridge. Jilted lover syndrome is useless. He'd be a good addition with how tough our RB recruiting situation is this cycle

Personally, I wouldn't touch him. I don't think he's all that good. Was obviously a poor fit at Bama, yet opted to their 9th tailback. Then turned into a beyotch cause he didn't like being the 9th string tailback.

So what's the official word on what really took place between Alabama & Alvin?

I mean you quit on a team who is winning national championships by the truck load and placing running backs in the NFL like nobodies business.

Why would he stick with UGA and not repeat his percieved antics is what I'm asking?

Is Saban and Alabama totally in the wrong here if so i will wait on your response and apologise to the board.

Best I can tell since it isn't totally public knowledge, AK was upset that when he arrived at UA, the decision had already been made that he would redshirt. It's pretty clear that he didn't get what he thought should have been an opportunity to compete for PT, as he says he was promised.

After that, he said he didn't have the best relationship with Burton Burns, the RB coach, and he was rumored to be homesick. AK started generally being a malcontent. I know one thing was telling recruits on an official visit that they shouldn't go to Bama. It's pretty immature, but pissed off 18 year olds tend to do immature things.

I would be in favor of bringing him in if he knows what te expectations are and that he's on a short leash. He already has a support system in place at UGA.

This would be the only reason I'd get behind Kamara coming. Time will tell.

No way he comes to UGA... He'd get more playing time at almost any other SEC school or more outside the conference. Why come to a school to sit behind better backs when you just left a school where you had to do the same thing?

Clemson may get him.

If he wanted to go to Clemson, he would already be enrolled there.

I say bring him on. With the running back situation now I see Gurley leaving this year, Douglas moving to fullback mid-season, either Chubb or Michel redshirting, and or Turman transferring if one of the two freshmen doesn't redshirt. Plus I just don't think Marshall is an every down back. So he has as good of a shot as any on the roster to play next season. Not to mention that he has good hands so Bobo could use him in a utilitarian way out of the back field.

Crow, are we recruiting Jovon at all? Seems like we haven't been recruiting him very hard, is it mutual?

We're recruiting him hard, but I think he's set on either AU or UA. That dude is a beast

I guess I was just reflecting on some people who i thought would do great things playing for the dawgs Washaun Ealey, Caleb King, Isaiah Crowell and the list goes on and on. None of these guys took life seriously and the program hurt because of it.
You get gun shy taking chances or at least i do in getting behind people only to get the shaft for it down the road.

Alabama oversigns like the devil himself so they are immune to some level of degree where we are not and can't take the chances they can, that's all i'm saying.

Scholarship numbers actually mean something or, have so far in the Georgia program. I sometimes wish they didn't.

Anyhow I probably shouldn't have judged him so harshly as I said in the first post maybe he's turned over a new leaf.

What's the chance he could make grades at UGA?
I know people can turn a new leaf, but if he had distractions in tuscaloosa it would only be magnified ten fold in Athens.

I think he fits the auburn profile more so than anywhere else.
He just has to play football on the plains as they hire someone else to take the basket weaving classes until he turns pro.

That's some funny shizzle right there. As if UGA doesn't do the same as the other SEC schools.

What makes ya say that? He's already at a JUCO school right?

He could have transferred directly to Clemson. Transfer restrictions wouldn't let him go to an SEC school immediately. He went and looked at Clemson before deciding to head to JUCO
