But after few hours I stepped off the ledge. Yesterday was an embarrassment, but I still believe Kirby can get this program headed in the right direction and the team will be ready to play in Jacksonville.

And even if I'm wrong I'm just a fan and I can't do shite it about so being optimistic is lot more fun than the alternative.

I believe he can, too. It will take time, and he has a lot to learn. I think many people on the board expected him to walk in and be a seasoned coach. he is not. he makes mistakes. A lot of them. It will take time, but he'll grown.

We are not in the SEC race, but I think the team could win out. Florida will be the toughest game. If the running is not working Chaney has to adjust. Run, run, third and long is not gonna cut it against Auburn and Florida.

it better fricking not.

We didnt hire him to rebuild, we hired him to get us over the hump.

We averaged 10 wins for 15 years...he will get a pass this year...but he better figure some shite out between now and the start of next year. Two years of this could set our program back a long time.

For next year, our defense should be dominate...the o-line will be green, so Pittman needs to earn his money, and Smart needs to take a hard look at Coach Chaney. Special teams should be priority one though. That shite is inexcusable. Its even more disheartening because Kirby has been involved with that unit.

Last season, UGA had a 10-3 record, and wasn't ranked. There was a reason for that. This team was left with a very poor situation at he OL position. Very , very poor. There are holes across the board with this team. For those who think it's going to be turned around in a year or 2, think again. It's not. I think it will take until at least 2018 before we start to see real improvement. Make no mistake about it, CMR left the program in below average shape.

Sorry but while I agree he didn't exactly stock the shelves so to speak, we should have ample talent to boat race Vandy and Nichols.

We haven't...we lost to one, and almost had a program destroying loss to the other.

Our coaching, up until this point, is not good. While we do need players, this coaching staff had better get it together. The honeymoon is over.

My thoughts exactly. Living in an awesome place makes not caring about football easy.

I still am...and for no other reason than we really don't have much to look forward to on Saturdays this season as far as UGA football goes. Beating UF, AU, and GT seems laughable at this point, but it would take sweeping those 3 to salvage this season. This is a deflating loss for the team and the fan base.

Our defense next year will be loaded with 4 and 5 star players...from the D-line to the
defensive backfield. No excuse for the unit not to be dominant.

This. Georgia is a top notch coaching job that shouldn't have a head coach that needs to "learn" and undergo a lot of improvement. I do think Smart may end up being a great coach but the fact that he's struggled with seemingly routine things throughout the season is frustrating at the least.

Did you step back from the ledge or step off it? Is there anything you can tell us about the afterlife?
