I just think we expect Zamir to take one of those top 2 spots.

Maybe he will. I love looking at HS videos, but coming in and passing talented players with two years in the system is never easy, even at RB. Swift seems to have done it, but it takes a lot of talent and hard work to make that leap.

He has to be a close family friend of the herriens. Nothing else makes sense

I am not connected to either kid.

I don’t think Herrien deserves to move up either. I expect White to come in and be RB2. I expect Herrien and Holyfield to battle it out for RB3/4 with a possibility of Cook putting pressure on those two.

If you folks can’t see that I am being objective when I say let’s see something besides gashing a gassed defense before we move the kid up the chart, and that CLEARLY, the coaches see this the same way I am seeing it, I don’t know what to tell you.

Either you trust the coaches or you don’t. If you trust the coaches, you accept that they are seeing issues in blocking, pass-pro, catching the ball or something not purely related to running the ball that is keeping him behind Herrien.

If you don’t trust the coaches, by all means, continue arguing with me. Because, saying I am an idiot on this subject when the coaches OBVIOUSLY see things the way I see them is pretty much calling the coaches idiots.

Holyfield may very well pass Herrien up sooner rather than later, and I am not saying he won’t. You guys are inferring things that just aren’t in what I am saying. It’s rather bizarre that you ignore the actual content of what I am saying and are responding childishly with what amounts to Herrien sucks, Holyfield is better because we said so...even though the coaches don’t agree.

I don't think what the coaches think is nearly as OBVIOUS or CLEAR as you believe. What we've seen so far is far from conclusive about how our depth chart will look going forward, IMO. Eason was CLEARLY our starter going into the year, until Fromm showed his abilities. Depth charts aren't carved into stone and Holyfield has shown enough to prove that he can move up if he continues to progress. No need to be adamant that our RB depth chart for 2018 (or even the rest of 2017) is firmly established.

Again...ignoring the content and cherry picking what you want to be pissed about.

Please..find somewhere that I said anything to that effect. In fact, in the same post that you quoted I said that Holyfield may pass Herrien sooner rather than later.

Right this second and thusfar this season, the coaches have trusted Herrien to come into the game earlier and get touches in some meaningful situations that they have not thusfar entrusted to Holyfield. I am not saying that won’t change.

What I am saying is that there are areas not purely related to running the ball which Holyfield needs to improve to move past Herrien. We have seen all up and down the lineup, the best players and the people practicing the hardest are getting to play. Why would the coaches use that policy for every position, including starting QB...but somehow show Herrien unjustified favoritism over Holyfield when we are literally talking about the difference between 4th and 5th string RB.

If that does not show that the coaches so far this season agree with my assessment, again...I don’t know what to tell you. I’m out of this thread and not looking back.

That and getting arrested for pot possession certainly didn't help Holyfield's case.

I'm not angry about anything, just saying that what the coaches think is not clear or obvious. Herrien has more carries early in the game, SO FAR, but Holyfield is getting it done when he has the chance. For all you or I know, Holyfield may have passed Herrien this weekend, or maybe will after the next game. Guessing what the coaches think right now is not OBVIOUS or CLEAR.

Herrien seems to have that leg drive to push the pile a few yards on a short run for a needed 1st down. Holyfield seems to have that burst of speed to shoot the hole and get downfield.
Just my opinion on their differences and maybe why Herrien gets in earlier.
