Next year looks to be Swift starting, Zeus RB#2, and Holyfield getting in, too. I'm not sure Herrien is the answer, but the kid plays with a lot of heart.

I know you guys all think I’m down on the kid but, let’s see the guy make 3-5 tough 5-7 yard runs against a fresh defense, pick up his blocks consistently in pass-pro, and prove that he CAN catch the ball out of the backfield before you guys let him finish in your mouths.

He has made exactly 0 good runs vs a fresh defense. Don’t know if he’s even been in the game for a passing play as a target OR as a blocker or even as a decoy.

He may be great, but you guys see him rip off 7-12 yard runs against a gassed defense that’s already had 4 other backs nuts drug across their face and want to say what a badass he is. I think he is the last guy to get carries for a reason, and the coaches you all claim to trust know several metric fricktons more about the team and it’s individual strengths and weaknesses than any of us functional retards on the GSB.

Your continued whining about praise for a uga rb is very weird.

It’s simply because of all the Herrien bashing that goes on here. There are reasons that he plays ahead of Holyfield. Probably the reasons that I have outlined. He may have superior running talent to Herrien, but I am 100% positive that he is seeing less REAL game time than Herrien because there are deficiencies in his game outside of just running the ball.

As I said, he may be great, but let’s see him do something when the game isn’t out of hand before we start annointing him RB2 for next season. He is RB5 right now, and only two guys are leaving... 5* and #1 HS RB coming in for sure and 4* and #3 HS RB possibly coming in this cycle...right this second, he is a better candidate to transfer than he is to be RB2 next season. Things can change and probably will to some degree, but as of right now, the kid looks good in mop up time when we are absolutely not going be asking him for pass-pro or to catch the ball. I’m just saying...let’s see him do EVERYTHING the RB position demands in critical gametime situations before we move him up the depth chart for next season.

Holyfield is better than herrien. Saying that doesn't mean I am bashing herrien.

Holyfield may very well be better at running the ball.

However, it is clear that the coaches agree with my take that there are many aspects to being a good RB, and that in several of those aspects, Herrien is currently ahead of Holyfield. I never once said that Holyfield isn’t a better runner. I said hasn’t proven anything in critical game situations.

Also, I didn’t say YOU were bashing Herrien, but YOU are the one who chose to jump my post so, I explained what my “whining” was about. You can choose to accept it and move on with your day, or you can fire back a bunch of angry, contrarian, insult riddled responses as is your nature. It matters not to me. Have the same swell day I wished to Barstools.

Yep. These coaches know what they are doing. Herrien is a load to bring down himself. We are so blessed at RB it isn't even funny

Herrien also can block on pass plays and lead the RB off-tackle and seal the end.

We're arguing about who our 4th best running back is.

Holyfield is a very good RB and will help us greatly next year IMO. He has power, speed, vision and moves. That's pretty obvious, even if he hasn't played early in games. Learning to block is teachable and Elijah's a hard worker so I'm sure he can block just fine and will improve as he gets more reps. As for pass catching, we haven't thrown many difficult passes to the RB's, so I'm sure he'll be fine there even if he doesn't have WR hands.

Same for Herrien. I hope they both stick around because next year's offense will give everyone a chance to showcase their particular skills. Chaney's scheme is just now starting to open up and he's using these guys in lots of new formations. As Fromm gets more comfortable the sky's the limit with these RB's we have. We'll need it because the defense will take a step back next season, especially early in the year.

You constantly shite on this kid. We don't even throw to Michel and Chubb, and you're questioning whether the kid can catch the ball out of the backfield. It's obvious you do hate the kid. He's better than Herrien running the football and that isn't even debatable up to this point.

He hasn't been given a chance, and he's run far better against the same defenses than Herrien has.

Neither has Herrien, and I've got no problem with the kid. Herrien hasn't gotten meaningful time against fresh defenses either, and when he has he hasn't done much. It's all Chubb, Michel, and Swift.

We already have two power runners if not 3. Harrien is a different type of back. I think they have certain plays set up for him and 7. Holyfield will see more time next year as a 5 yard grinder. It's been encouraging to see him find the hole, make some people miss and break a few tackles.

I’m not shitting on the kid. I’m saying you all need to stop shitting on Herrien and second guessing the coaches you claim to trust.

Holyfield may be great. I have said this repeatedly...but we just don’t know based on what we have seen.

The kid is a talented runner. Barring some serious lack of pop from ZW, Holyfield won’t be RB2 next season. He likely stays RB3 or 4.

I know he is a hard worker and I’m not saying he won’t or can’t be good for us. I’m saying pump the brakes and stop shitting on the other back.

That's possible, but I could see Holyfield at #2 and getting plenty of carries next season. If you think he can't move up, I think you're underestimating his potential. He's a good player.

I don’t think he’s saying that. I just think we expect Zamir to take one of those top 2 spots.
