Too many people treating this like a game that doesn't count regardless of who wins. There are real-life consequences to this election and some think that voting for Johnson is an option or that Hillary's pay-for-play and treasonous lack of accountability with our national security aren't a big deal because Trump says mean things.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm not being duped. I had low opinions of Trump long before he ever talked about running for president. The guy is a scumbag, in thought, word, and deed.

I agree that Hillary would be a disaster. So, would Trump. shite sandwich. shite burrito.

Foo, you are beginning to sound like Jefferson now. You might take that as a compliment, but it wasn't meant that way.

All Trump had to do to win this election is be just a little diplomatic. But he is incapable. He will alienate the entire world.

Think about it. He could beat Hillery and be POTUS....and because he can't keep his mouth shut. That doesn't send up red flags to you? How about that he is a sexual predator? It goes much farther than "saying mean things". If he can't beat Hillery, then he has absolutely NO CLUE how to run the country.

Don't get me wrong....she doesn't either. Jacketfan77 got it right. We are screwed.

His appeal is that he isn't an entrenched bureaucrat and he says what's on his mind. Some people like it and some don't. If Hillary wins it won't be because he's not "diplomatic". It will be because the media is in the tank for the Democrats and the voters care more about appearances than they do about policy.

Seriously, Hillary could come out and say she wants to completely destroy Capitalism and turn this country into a Communist state and people would still vote for her because she hasn't offended their sensibilities with harsh name-calling.

Trump's comments years ago regarding women are nothing compared to what Bill Clinton has allegedly done, yet no one seems to care that Hillary has destroyed the lives of his accusers. She is 100% bought by bankers and corporations and has shown that she is willing to trade favors for money when she is in power, yet she's the better candidate than the man who isn't beholden to anyone?

So yeah... he says mean things and people don't like it, so vote Hillary or vote Johnson or vote Kang/Kodos from the Simpsons. If we're going willingly hold our hands out so that shackles can be placed on them, might as well do it with a clear conscience, amirite?

Understood. but that does him absolutely no good unless he can get elected. As I said...all he had to do was keep his mouth shut and he gets elected. Hillery is hated that much. but, no. he can't resist and is giving her the election. Seriously. Someone that that can have the Presidency, but his ego won't allow him to take it? That's who you want in the White House?

The media is in the tank. But they don't have to be. He isn't losing because of policy. He's losing because he keeps saying dumb stuff. If he will just shut up he wins, but he can't. He just can't. He has to have the last word on everything, even if it costs him the Presidency.

I agree. And I think that would do it for him, if he can keep from shooting himself in the foot. Every time he closes the gap he comes out with some new statement that makes him look clueless.

Want an example?

"I speak to border guards and they tell us what we're getting and it only makes common sense, it only makes sense. They're sending us not the right people; it's coming from more than Mexico. It's coming from all over South and Latin America, and it's coming probably, probably from the Middle East. But we don't know, because we have no protection."

What on earth does that even mean? It's gobbledegook.
When the media, who I agree is in the Dems pocket, sees him making statements like this they will plaster it all over the place. they will hide Hillery's missteps and gobbledegoop. He needs to just shut up.

Keeping his mouth shut? You realize he won the primary because he was not like the other establishment Republicans, right? He wasn't afraid to go on the attack and his 2nd debate performance against Hillary was a delight to many Republicans who wished previous candidates had the balls to say what needed to be said. He goes overboard at times but his brash and blunt way of talking was a breath of fresh air with GOP voters who experienced politics-as-usual for years. Hell, I didn't even support him in the primaries but it was due to policy issues. I actually liked how non-PC he was at the time. He has toned things down somewhat since getting the nomination, but his initial popularity was based on his no-nonsense words. Why would he turn that off once he got the nomination? And no, him putting his foot in his mouth from time to time isn't the problem. Hillary has done that too, but she has the media to cover for her.

Of course they don't have to be in the tank for the DNC, but they want to be because journalists are typically liberals who share the same ideals as the Democrats. It's also a mutually-beneficial relationship with the Dems, since the Dems drum up crisis's that get the media viewership.

And again, if you believe the polls (which I'm not inclined to do, since the media is in the tank for Hillary), it's not due to Trump opening his mouth. If ou think the "womanizer" stuff if what is dropping his numbers, that would have come out regardless of whether or not he had his mouth shut since getting the nomination. The media was holding on to that stuff to hurt him. If he doesn't talk, he doesn't fight back. I don't think you get that Trump isn't fighting against Hillary, he's fighting against the media.

You probably should have used a different quote to make your point. Here is the full quote:

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists, and some, I assume, are good people. But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we're getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They're sending us not the right people. It's coming from more than Mexico. It's coming from all over South and Latin America. And it's coming probably — probably — from the Middle East. But we don't know because we have no protection, and we have no competence. We don't know what's happening. And it's got to stop. And it's got to stop fast."

It's pretty obvious what he meant. We want people to come here who will make this country better (goes with his theme of making America great again), but what we're getting is a lot of criminals and possibly even terrorists who hate this country because we don't have any checks on who are coming here.

He's said time and time again that he supports immigration but legal immigration. And you, yourself, just showcased exactly what the media does in taking quotes out of context to make him sound mean, racist, xenophobic, islamophobic, or just plain old dumb or crazy. Trump can't remain quiet and win the white house because Hillary won't remain quiet. She will get a pass if she takes a few days off but Trump will have everything taken out of context and packaged up like he's the next coming of Adolf. The DNC and the media are working together to win the white house and they will throw their poop like monkeys at whoever the GOP nominee is. At least Trump is fighting back, unlike Romney and McCain.

Yep both are pieces of shite but I do not want Hillary in there at all. Lets get away from these same families being the president.

Plus the whole system is rigged and it doesn't matter who wins as the US will keep on keeping on down the shitter.

So... the Clintons are better because they do what Trump only jokes about, but they do everything in their power to cover it up while he doesn't? Maybe that isn't the problem with me, but with people like you, who think because Trump puts his foot in his mouth a lot that he's a worse candidate than the "polished" Hillary, who has been involved in more scandals than can be cited by memory and has abused her position of power. Trump is bad because of what he might do but Hillary is OK regardless of what she has done?

Trump is not a great candidate, but Hillary has shown herself by her actions as unfit to lead this country because she has abused the power she has already had.

I voted for Cruz, but Trump is the nominee, and he's the only one who can beat Hillary. A Hillary victory is a defeat for freedom.

Dude. I agreed with you on that point. The media is in the tank. That's why Trump has to be careful what he says and how he says it.

This is all you need. he makes it sound like people are sending them here. Who is he talking about...."When Mexico sends its people...." Who is sending people? The government? is he insinuating that the Mexican government is sending all the illegals? Because that's what it sounds like. Those people are coming here of their own fee will. Nobody is sending them.

Read it again..."They are sending their problems with us..."
"They're sending us not the right people. "

and it goes on and on. Seriously. if somebody came on this board talking like that we would laugh them off of here and tell them to get an education. He's not stupid. he just isn't a good public speaker. And Obama has already proven the public likes public speakers, no matter how bad they are.

I've got to go for the night, but we can talk, compare and debate more tomorrow if you want. By the way...I hate Hillery more than Trump, I think.

You're pretty ignorant.

The Mexican government has been promoting emigration from Mexico to the US for decades.

Mexicans in the US send over $25 billion in remittances to Mexico each year, which they arbitrage through currency exchange. And when poor Mexicans get off their welfare and onto our welfare, that's a huge savings to them.

The Mexican government has created travel kits and given stipends for travel and provided busses and maps and even hosted classes on how to cross the border and what to do if they get caught by border patrol.

This information is out there. If you don't know about it, you haven't done your homework and shouldn't be commenting on stuff you're ignorant about.

Mexico is actively deporting its poorest and least economical citizens. They are executing the opposite of a Brain Drain. Google Brain Drain if anyone doesn't understand the concept.

Good for Mexico. Bad for America.

On another note, i just got my first ROC from IRR. It was displayed like any other dividend in my portfolio, and now I just own more shares of it.

Because of the low volume, I've seen how the price fluctuates directly on the shareholder of date number for the next ROC, then falls as soon as it is paid.

On the next record date, I may sell. So far it has been good to me since August, good time to get out while I'm ahead.

Here is an article from a Tuscon Arizona news outlet that all the way back in 2008 discussed how the Mexican government sent their representatives (equivalents to Senators) to argue against a new law in Arizona that would penalize employers who hire d illegals and mandated their immediate deportation.

The Mexican government said they can't afford for these people to come back and freaking lobbied our government to repeal the law.

I actually don't agree with you on this point. Yes, he is definitely not polished, but that's actually a good thing in many ways. He isn't "political". Remember that his existence in this race is due to the fact that he isn't "establishment". Everyday non-haters understand what he's saying without an interpreter because he speaks like a real person and not a political hack. That being said, he does well with a teleprompter, so if he had to, he could be just like Obama and use one in front of a dozen kindergartners.

There's some validity to him saying the Mexican government is sending them. It benefits Mexico to have their bad eggs in our frying pan and not theirs. But it's not just their bad eggs, they benefit from their good people coming to the US and sending back their earnings to Mexico, as they do. Hell, the Mexican government even provided pamphlets to help illegals be safer when crossing rivers and deserts into the US a decade ago.

People know illegals are flooding across the border. They know Mexico is doing nothing to prevent it. They know that there are a lot of illegals here doing terrible things to US citizens with little or no repercussions. They know there are even sanctuary cities that protect illegals who are getting free healthcare and government benefits. So yeah, normal people "get" it. They understand what he's saying. Those who are nitpicking his words are looking for something to be offended by.
