I think its interesting that the vast majority of folks with ghost stories fall into 3 primary groups...

1- fat, uninteresting chicks who think "seeing" ghosts makes them more interesting.

2 - people who most agree are a little around the bend in the first place

3 - ghey men.

Stone Mountain demographic has changed. It's now the black version of Kennesaw.

Yeah, I've read it. It's referenced in my pastor's book, since it is referenced by Peter and Jude. Interesting stuff.

There's a lot of weird stuff in the Bible about giants, "watchers", and other spiritual beings. The "divine council" is pretty neat.

1st moved into our house and had been there about 2 weeks. It is a very old house built sometime in the 1930's so when we first moved in before I restored most of he pipes and faucets etc they were all large creaky heavy knobs to turn that took some elbow grease to even nudge and the old pipes made you feel water pressure change in temp almost immediately if someone turned on the kitchen sink it made the bathroom water temp almost freezing.

Anyway I was taking a shower one day and the temp changed like my wife had turned on the kitchen sink. She had been outside in the backyard so I thought nothing of it and turned off the shower and as I got out called to my wife and no answer but I heard talking out side and the water running full blast in the kitchen, so I peer out the blinds and she was standing outside still in the backyard, had been since I got in the shower talking to a neighbor on the backside of the fence. I dried off threw on some jeans and walked into the kitchen and the kitchen sink was on full blast and every one of the cabinets and drawers were wide open. I later asked my wife if she had ever been in the house and she said she hadn't

We purchased baby monitors for my 1st child after she was born a few months later and had to return them after about a week. You could hear progressively each night a more distinct make voice whispering and it got louder each night. One night at 3 AM I woke from loud male screaming, sounded like pain type of blood curdling scream, next day we took them back and within a couple more days after staying at a hotel had the house blessed and prayed over. A few minor things happen every now and then. I've come into the kitchen and a chair will be pulled out and a plate and silverware that was in the sink will be set at the table if there are those items in the sink. Minor playful stuff.

Almost a yr (8 or so months later) the now cancelled show "Paranormal State" made a trip and did an investigation a few houses down from us and caught EVPs and a couple orbs in some pictures and in doing research found that a pretty heavily used train station that brought wounded soldiers home from the Civil War was located not even a couple blocks from my house and there are stories from neighbors all up my road.

I'm aware of the Enochian Keys as laid out by Anton Levay. I no longer have them memorized.

No. It's pretty well-known ghost in those parts. SOmething about a confederate soldier who was coming home from the War........and he had made plans to meet his sweetheart somewhere on the shore close to where they both lived. WHen he got close, he decided to take a short-cut through the marsh and got caught in some quicksand and died though........ When his fiancee found out about it, she flipped her shite and was so traumatized and hysterical that her worried parents took her further inland to see a doctor............and the story goes that while she and her family were away, a hurricane or some shitstorm capable of comparable destruction came through and leveled their house..........and would have obviously killed anyone that had been there.

And.......so, the man's death actually saved the life of his sweetheart.

And.........The LEgend through the years since tells of many many random people that have randomly encountered this mysterious "Grey man" in different parts of this corner of the lowcountry...........and it always serves as some sort of omen.

Anyway..... I will look any man straight in the eye and with zero self-consciousness or doubt.........tell them to their face that it's real. And that when I saw him it ended up saving my Life. But, I'd prefer if someone else told a story first, before I go into any details...............

Sort of. The Bible directly references the first book of Enoch and alludes to it as credible, but the later books appear to have been altered and weren't reliable. The whole compilation was not deemed trustworthy as inspired scripture. I think only the Coptic Church accepted it as part of the Bible, and they were the only ones who kept it. It was "lost" for about 1500 years.

The first book especially has some pretty cool stuff in there.

Book of Enoch was written by Enoch who was Noah's great-grandfather, who wrote mostly about the watchers (in the most preeminent time of the nephilim and visionaries) and isn't recognized as a Canon as part of the Bible but recognized as a Biblical Work as an accompanying work and even referenced several times in the New Testament

I used to watch the show Ghost Hunters, but most of it was uneventful and it got kind of old. The Ghost Hunters show was interesting for an episode or two but I was annoyed by the guy on 'roids.

The paranormal interests me, but I try not to get too much in to it because there's some powerful stuff there that I don't want anything to do with.

There are two reasons how I know that guy is full of shite....

#1- There was an episode where they set up on the scene of a place where a mass ax murder had taken place, maybe lizzy borden, don't remember, but he set himself up in the dark, laying on the floor, with an ax balanced over his head ready to strike and cut his head off.... and he taunts the spirit and dares the spirit to kill him with the ax.... this isn't something you would do if you thought it was real.

#2- It's a television show.

I agree with you there. He's full of it and doesn't act like he respects what he's dealing with. And yeah, it's a TV show. Regardless of whether the stuff is real or fake, they will edit it to make it as entertaining as possible. If they don't find anything, they really play up the stupid stuff that "could be" something. It's pretty sad.

I enjoy being entertained and I watch it for entertainment value, same as the bigfoot hunters. I don't watch it wondering if they are actually going to discover bigfoot on TV. It's brain candy, when there is nothing else on TV and the dawgrant gets boring, there's nothing better than ghost hunters and finding bigfoot. Or Georgia Traveler on GPB.

Back to ghost stories, last night I kept hearing this scratching in the kitchen, and hissing. I thought it was mice because we've had that before. But it didn't sound like it was in the cabinets or in a plenum, it was in the open.

Finally I couldn't take it any more, and I stood in the kitchen until I heard it again.

It turns out my wife had the turtle in a large bowl on the counter coming out of a ketamine trip from being at the UGA hospital today.

But it was really spooky before I knew what it was.

I want to hear about the Grey Man.
