Ooooh. Ok then.

So despite this confirmed report, Saban hires him without an interview. The Force is strong at Bama.

I mean, if by some hypothetical reason Richt was still here and schott got canned and bobo wanted to come back, would we really need to interview him?

Well apparently so. Saban would need to chastise JP for being a cancer and give him a stern wag of the finger and look him in his eyes and all that jazz.

If there were "confirmed reports" that he'd turned into a psycho drunk at CSU, then...let me think...Yeah.

As much bitching that has been flying around this site when someone posted about Richt leaving, maybe we can soon let this Pruitt love die off and concentrate on the current coaches and players. No offense.

The two situations aren't the same. Saban has worked with Pruitt before. He knows what he's getting.

I was disappointed at first when I heard Pruitt was leaving, but it's probably for the best. If he stayed it could've ended up in a Mike Dikta/Buddy Ryan situation. Pruitt might have a feeling of entitlement being held over from the old regime and could've caused friction between him and Smart.

Jealousy? Really? Of course a head coach isn't going to come out and say that he's a dickhead, they have more tact than that. It's been confirmed that he has gotten in to fights with other coaches at practice and showed up drunk to Richt's house while recruits were there. Anthony Dasher confirmed that rumor a couple weeks ago. The guy can be a great coach and a cancer all at the same time?

Really, might want want to retract that statement.
