Seriously just raise your hand every time they ask the group questions and they'll probably dismiss you. Worked for me.

Just go you probably won't get picked for a jury anyway.

So I was dumb and didn't do what the rest of these people did and got stuck on a jury for 2 days over a lawsuit for 100k because of some concrete shite.

frickin sucked.

Or tell them you have 3 brothers and 9 first cousins who are cops and you love them all dearly.

Do the opposite and tell them you were once arrested and had to sit in jail for two days even though you were innocent so you are biased and going to vote against the prosecution.

The Judge or the DA will dump you from the pool immediately.

Great advice all the way around. I look forward to being the first one dismissed.

The easiest way to be stricken is to say that your religion does not allow you to judge another human being. Also, if it's a drug case say that you believe in the legalization of all drugs. Either way will result in you being struck for cause without any side using one of their strikes.

This is fricking terrible

I went the bum route so I'm hoping the prosecution hates me and I've been raising my hand left and right

Reservoir gets it. Id love to sit jury duty. I figure the system could use some level headed folks calling the shots.

This. I know it is a hassle but we need good jurors to make the system work right.

To me it just means being fair and impartial. In criminal cases I especially like a jury as a buffer between the accused and government; otherwise, the government alone would dictate what the outcome should be.

I guess I found the three people in the world that want jury duty. I'll make sure y'all get to the top of the list annually so you can be good Americans

The funny thing is I've never been summoned. Not that I'd stand a good chance of being selected because one side or the other usually doesn't want a lawyer on a jury. I've left some on though--just depends on the case.

If I am gonna get picked I would much rather serve on a jury and contribute to society than sit in that room all day with smelly cherokee co trash and do nothing
