Gatahata9, do the knowledge.

I did the knowledge. I got a DUI. If your license is suspended you don't need to call in any favors to get a work/school permit. in fact you don't even need a permit.

Im talking about refusing the test. Instead of getting a dui, you get 6 month license suspension for refusing the test, then have it reinstated for work/school, ie no punishment.

None of that works if you are clearly shitfaced on camera though, or yelling slurred slurs at the cop, picked up on his mic.

Eta im not a lawyer and im not giving legal advice

I thought it was a year.

In my case I had my license taken "for a year"
but if I got all my thing done (Jail time, 40 hr CS, payed fines, and went to the 20 hr DUI class.) Then I could get my license back in 3 months.

I begged the cop to let me take the test because i was pretty damn sure i was under the limit and over 21.

He made me beg, and even tried to say it was too late, he had already read me my rights, in front of all these other a-hole cops standing around.

After he had me on his mic begging to take the test 19 times for prosecution purposes, he agreed to "let" me take the test.

After the handcuffs came off, he walked me over in front of another cop car and oriented me directly into the headlights, partially blinding me.

As he began to read me the memorized instructions, and i was able to get a good look around the Dairy Queen parking lot, it finally occurred to me what was actually happenning... And it might not be what you think.

Part 3 coming soon
