Seeing Auburn inking a deal with UDUB, got me wondering about BIG start of season games for UGA.

2017 - @ND
2018 - OPEN
2019 - ND
2020 - UVA ( ATL )
2021 - OPEN

Would , FSU be a good fit for 18 & 21 home & home, or a neutral site ( Orlando? ) in 18. (FSU opens in ATL in 17.

Or who else would you like to see...

Some PAC or BIG10/12 schools would be great USC, UW, Stanford, Oregon,tOSU, UM, PSU, UT, OU ??

I would like to see nobody. We already have a gauntlet of an SEC slate, in addition to a P5 OOC game every year that many teams (like auburn) do not.

There is simply zero logical reason whatsoever to make things even harder on ourselves than they already are, especially considering we haven't gone through a season unscathed in nearly 40 years.

Except that 1 P5 OOC game a year won't cut it.

according to who, you?

If we go undefeated or 1 loss with a full SEC schedule, tech, and an SECCG win we're in the playoff no matter what. Adding another P5 power just doesn't make any sense other than for the ADept to make more money.

Do yall not remember damon evans' hellbent ways on "increasing the brand"? Lot of good that did us.

OR, you know, for the entertainment of the fans. Or maybe it gets you in the playoffs with two losses as an ato large.

I don't think we should be flying past Texas but the chicken fil a games are great. Almost zero reason to not do them.

wgas about that? Making the playoffs is entertaining. Being in the top 5 and undefeated is entertaining. Competing for titles is entertaining. Fact is that adding yet another difficult game to one that is already inherently difficult is retarded.

I was entertained and had a great time in stillwater and boulder. Made them mini-vacations and had a good time. I'd still rather have a win.

know what's better than sitting on pins and needles desperately hoping to get in with 2 losses (which would never happen anyway based on the current format)? Getting in easily with only 1 loss, because you didn't play another tough opponent and lose.

Yes, those are great if we can play the NC States of the world. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about playing legit tough opponents for no reason. Let's also keep in mind if we played UNC this weekend we'd probably get whooped.

I don't see many positives for UGA playing Clemson very often.

I get what you're saying. In my ideal scenario we play a somewhat interesting team that isn't extremely good (and we haven't seen a bunch in bowls lately). NC State, Indiana, Iowa, Syracuse, West Virginia, Arizona, Kansas, Minnesota, Wake Forest, etc.

More exciting than Louisiana Monroe, but not a team that will beat us in any year that we are good.

One of those, plus Tech, and then two cupcakes makes a good, but not insane schedule.

For selfish reason, PAC-12 would be nice, especially UCLA or USC. It would be nice to be able to go to a game out here.

Relatively sure I'll still be around in '18. 2025 and 26 are a long way away.
