I'd take an actual real life NFL caliber center over just about any skill player right now. I just can't fathom why our center play has been as bad as it has been over the past couple years.

How much time remains on Solai (sp) contract? D line seemed to get more pressure with him out vs Carolina. Hageman and Beasley had their best performances that game.

There's going to be a ton of turnover this year with players, coaches (Shan, cox, etc) and hopefully at GM. Thats punk arse bitch needs to be gone today. I have no confidence the future with him at the helm.

CDQ has done a good job with what he's got on the roster, I think he can turn the D into a legit threat. Just need to bring in a better OC.

If there is any justice in this world, Dimitroff will be gone. If it were me, he would have been gone in season. It worries me that he is not gone yet.

It sure feels like we should be drafting a lot better than 17th, it feels like we should be drafting about 8th.

It is by far easier to list what doesn't need help, than what does - on O QB and RB, on D backfield is semi-OK. Everything else needs big time help.

Ryan is not an elite QB and never will be. With the upper crust "old" guard still hanging around and the improvements of the youngsters I would put him about 15th in the league.

He is the litmus test for NFL teams' QBs. If you would trade your QB for Matt Ryan, you have a QB problem.

Sounding like the Head Hymie wants to keep TD. might as well trade away all of our draft picks this year cause that bike riding bitch will certainly frick them up.

This franchise isn't going to accomplish dick as long as TD is in the front office. It'll be interesting to see how he fricks this draft up with so much defensive talent available.

It's in Quinn's best interest unfortunately. Typically if there is a change at GM, the time clock gets put on the incumbent coach (albeit one season in for Quinn could be a wrench in that norm). There was a segment on this on the radio about a month ago or so discussing the exact scenario. Even if Quinn thinks TD is a shite GM, he's better off with him at the helm for now, because TD has hitched his wagon to Quinn... a new GM won't have that problem and wouldn't have an issue with showing him the door if he believes he can make a better hire (ie. Falcons struggle again in 2016).

Gotta disagree with that one. I think about it just the opposite, if Dimitroff stays, Quinn is guaranteed to fail. Only if a quality GM comes in will he succeed. You gotta hire the best you can, and Dimitroff certainly has proven he is not that time and time again.

Last year's draft had Quinn's fingerprints on it. I think this will be the same.

I wouldn't mind Atlanta taking one of the athletic linebackers (Jack, Ragland) in the first round if they're available. I would like to see OL depth added later. I also wouldn't mind seeing them take OJ Howard in the second or third round, or whatever round they think he'd be available.

OL needs are obvious, but the linebackers can't cover a RB or a TE. WRs didn't have a great season against Atlanta, but this defense got torched by TEs (particularly Ben Watson) because they were so overmatched in coverage.

Offensively, Matt Ryan badly needs a reliable second option that can hurt a defense. Justin Hardy is nice, but he's a slot/possession guy. Julio is fantastic, but if defenses keep him from blowing the top off, this offense shut down way too often. I think a good TE would help. Obviously there won't be a Gronk available because there has only been one Gronk to ever play the game, but the Falcons need someone who can burn a defense up the middle along with Julio on the outside. Tamme is a nice second TE but he shouldn't be the #1 TE.

I feel like OJ Howard is going to be one of those guys who blows it up in the nfl and you're gonna wonder why he never could in college. We really need to draft another legit option for Ryan in the 2nd or third round if we don't do so in free agency, no real preference on whether it's a TE or WR.

I'll say the same thing I was saying this time last year...I was of the opinion that you don't fire Smitty and keep TD, as well (I admit, I was wrong, but I can be a homer sometimes). But if you were going to fire Smitty, you needed to fire TD, as well, because you can blame a lot of things on Smitty, but you damn sure can't blame him for the cupboard being completely bare in regards to talent. TD has been pretty horrid in free agency...but just downright abysmal in the draft...with few exceptions to both.

If he isn't fired this off season I'm certain that he has pics of Blank shirtless with a swastika tat on his right moob eating non kosher ham while dressed as Hitler..... its the only logical reason.

Blank, fire Dimitroff already. It is painfully clear he is a bum.

Draft situation...since the Falcons only have 5 picks this year (lost the 5th to noisegate, and the 6th in the Levitre trade)...if Jaylon Smith falls to 17, do you run to the podium and take him? Because I do, same situation as Tud last year, except I'd imagine Smith will miss a few more games because he got injured almost two months later than TGIII. But he's a franchise defensive player. The only thing that would stop me is considering trading back 5-8 picks to collect a few spare picks...but I don't know if I risk that given Smith's talent...thoughts?

In a heartbeat, as long as the doctors say he will be ok long term.

Since the Falcons are already down 2 draft picks, I'm sure TD will trade up to get the Arkansas tight end and give away another pic.

This. I think this was the mistake made, because you sit there now feeling pretty confident that TD is not the guy, but there is no "compelling event" to fire him now. Last season was an easy option to fire sale it all and clean house...

Not one player from the Falcons 2012 draft is still in the NFL.
