Don't know how Lambert will do, but this is definitely true. London is actually incompetent.

Lambert spent two years running for his life behind a line that couldn't block, throwing to WRs who couldn't catch, and handing off to RBs who just weren't very good. Virginia football is a dumpster fire all around. If you think the guy we saw at UVA is the same guy we'll see at UGA, then I disagree. I think he'll be fine.

This is the hope I'm clinging to...that's he's at least a "B+" quarterback who happened to be on a terrible team.

Of course, this begs the question...if he was that much of a prospect, why did he wind up at UVA in the first place? Why wasn't he signed by any number of programs that have been known for getting highly touted pro-style QBs?

I think the real answers will come after we play reasonably capable teams like SC and UT, which will put everything out there to stop the run and dare Lambert to be a real quarterback...

Are you aware that UVA has a pretty good College thing going?

Wut? You're being sarcastic, right?

4-8
2-10
5-7

That's the last 3 years for UVA. They suck.

UVA has, in all likely hood the worst coaching staff of The Power Five teams.

I can't remember, what were Eric Zeier's, David Greene, and Matt Staffords stats the year before they lead UGA to a National Championship?

The football team currently sucks... Most of their other teams do not... They have had a good football program overall... It is also one of the best book lernin spots in the U.S. Of A...

It's kind of crazy how good their athletics are and how weak their football team has been as of late

Yes, one of my favorite towns.

But if I'm a top prep QB with NFL potential, I'm going to any number of other places that actually have an elite football program.

And if I'm REALLY into academics, too, I think I could do just as well in Palo Alto, Berkeley, Ann Arbor or a few others...

Those are fine schools if your goal is to become the next General Secretary of the Soviet Union, but if you have less than absolute faith in the eventual triumph of Marxism-Leninism, they might not be the place for you.

He had offers from Virginia, UGA, USCe, Alabama and three other schools....his rating was a 91.1 (I think)

Virignia is a good school academically. I am guessing that is why he went there. Plus, they afforded him the possibility of starting early. Virginia has had some decent QB's in the past.

I can agree with this. The first 2-3 games will be to get him settled down and grown his confidence. Maybe work out a few bad habits he may have developed at UVA.

How often do "great" college QBs bomb in the NFL? (Blaine Gabbert, Tim Tebow (although I think he should be in the NFL, still) David Carr...and the list goes on and on)

While true, he might have wanted to stay relatively close to home. His parents could get to some of the games up in Virginia...a bit tougher going to California, Michigan etc.

However, I would think Duke (if they have his major) would be a viable alternative) But he would have to be recruited to those schools or face wlk on status)
