That's an athlete we couldn't afford to lose. I sure hope Maten is ready to go and contribute his 1st year on campus. Forte is going to have to life up to the Juco hype as well.

I'm hearing Maten will be a big contributor this year. He definitely will have to be ready so hope it is true.
I expect Forte to be improved. He wasn't in Athens until July last year so I'm hoping a full year developing with our staff will make a difference. KPG might be called on for a few more minutes now.
I think Parker will see the biggest bump in minutes from this. I could see him out there as a perimeter threat and solid defender with the starting group. Plus some more of JJ with Mann and Gaines.

We need him to be a starter. To allow Nemi to continue his bench role. I hope Fox and crew can get this group ready.

Hearing things might be changing a bit for Jaylen Brown. The 3 schools he mentions most now and sound like his top 3 in no particular order are Kansas, Georgia and UCLA. Still not predicting him to UGA but we are definitely in it. Kinda surprised to hear UK drop off a bit.

New offer going out to Quinndary Weatherspoon. Don't really know too much about the 6-4 Guard. I hear he has good range and outplayed a lot of the nations top players.

I heard several people mention him lately as playing really well in front of coaches this month on the AAU circuit. Sounds like he is moving up.
Also forgot if I mentioned it or not but Fox and the entire staff (plus Fox's kids) showed up to watch Malik Beasley's game Sunday. Great way to show he is a priority. I'm sure that doesn't hurt with where we sit with him. UCONN and UCLA have offered him recently but still like our chances.

One of Jaylen Browns games is on ESPNU and after watching about 10 minutes, I think he would be a program altering commit.

Yeah...I don't think we get him from UK but one can hope. I don't know how much of a program altering commit he could be though...I don't have any hope he's more than an one year commit. But he could set a solid precedent of hometown guys staying in state and maybe we could get a couple more big names.

UK is trending way down on him now. They are saying the 3 he mentions the most and seem to be his top options at the moment are UCLA, UGA and Kansas. A lot of predictions are trending UCLA on that one.
I agree that he would definitely be a program altering commitment. Big time player.

I honestly think it's gonna be kansas or uga. UCLA is a very strong contender but I don't think Kentucky is gonna happen. That's pretty fun for me. Really hoping jaylen goes to Georgia.

Picking Jawga over the Jayhawks? I was stationed in Kansas so I started kinda watching Kansas Bball when I was there but I just could never get into it. If Georgia becomes decent I would enjoy it more.
