Yoculan will act as "volunteer" coach

I like it. Especially with Yoculan still being involved

did someone punch her in the forehead?

Can't get much worse... Might as well give her a chance. These are gonna be the shite hires we get under McEars..

I hope it works out, but someone should tell McGarity that we don't have to hire an alum for every job in the athletic department.

These gymnastics girls' looks go down the shitter when they stop competing. Kristy Lichey, Corey Fritzinger.......ouch.

She won 4 NCAA National Championships (13 gold medals, 4 silver, 2 bronze) , won 2 gold medals at the world championships and 2 medals at the Olympics. It's not that she's just a UGA grad, she's a world class gymnast that knows what it takes. She at least deserves a chance. Not to mention Youclan will be helping out.
You are such a beat down.

Do you realize there's a difference between playing a sport and coaching a sport?
Some of the worst coaches at all levels were former professional and/or collegiate athletes.
I'm not saying she'll be a bad coach, but we're a big enough program we don't have to give someone a chance.

She's about as hot as you can ask for a Gymnastics coach. I approve!
Plus, you all apparently missed it where she's been coaching at Oconee Gymnastics and Cheer since last July. That's a well known springboard for NCAA gymnastics coaching talent.

Obviously there is a difference and I never even commented on whether she would be a good coach or not. My point was she wasn't just a UGA athlete, she was one of the very best gymnasts in the world. How were you unable to connect those dots?

Isaiah Thomas was one of the best basketball players in the world. Wayne Gretzky was tGOAT. Buddy Bell won 6 straight gold gloves and made 5 all star teams. Those guys were all terrible managers/coaches.
I was able to connect those dots. I just don't agree with them.

You just failed again, even after I spelled it out for you.

I understand what you're trying to say. The combination of being the greatest and going to UGA is why she was hired.
Chris Mullin may end up being good at St. John's, but he's the best player to ever play there and it hasn't worked out yet. There's a reason you just don't go hire your best ever player. I'm hopeful it works out, but that's just an advantage of hiring her, not the reason you do.

Seriously though ....who beat her and why is she the coach after getting a shiner on her forehead. These are questions that need answering.

Peter... normally I take your comments as harmless but for crude humor... you're 100% on to something here. Seriously... if someone pounded her into submission prior to the hire, I really couldn't dispute the allegations/claims. I would like to believe it was a harmless bruise but... questions need answering.

It's not a bruise, it's a bad photo. There are similar spots on the background, too.
