Shamecocks have won 3 straight games in Columbia, SC. I hope the streak ends this week. Cocks always get up for us in Williams-Brice Stadium. Last time Georgia won was 2008 14-7.

Last time I was in Columbia was in 2012 when we got boat raced. I seriously have PTSD about that Stadium since then. The game cock fans were less than gracious lol

We should beat South Carolina easily. They just are not very good. Not good at all.

Boom and T-Rob have their D playing a lot better than they were last year. I agree that we're the better team, but we've played like shite in that stadium for over a decade. If we play like we did against UT (a few plays withstanding, obviously), then I think we win. If we come out demoralized and play flat like we did against Ole Miss, then we'll fricking lose this game.

They squeaked by Vanderbilt, lost to Mississippi State, squeeked by East Carolina, and lost to Kentucky....they are bad. The only decent game they have played was against Texas A&M, and I suspect A&M took the VERY lightly.

Being demoralized could be a problem, but Smart SHOULD take care of that. I am more concerned we take them lightly and get beat. We should beat them by at least 2 TDs.

I don't disagree that we should beat them by 2 scores, but games aren't played on paper. Their defense has improved a good bit from last year and we can't take them lightly. I'm not saying they will beat us, simply that we can. Easy to have a hangover after taking a bad beat like we did on Saturday.

And you may be right....but I'm not sure if their defense has improved, or they just haven't played anybody that can score. (Of course, A&M can score, but I am thinking they just took SC lightly)

This is true, but Ole Miss had come off 2 of those type games and beat the crap out of us, so Smart should have us ready. While you are nervous that we have a letdown, I am more nervous that we take them lightly.

The beauty of this is IF we don't play to our capabilities, we can both say we were right and the other can't prove otherwise!

Ya you can damn well be promised this is a big game for USCe.

They have had some demoralizing loses and are hungry. Their defense is much better than last year and they have a mobile QB (something we have struggled mightily with this year).

If mother nature decides to let this game happen in Columbia, bet it will be a dog fight.

We should win. SHOULD...but we have been the very definition of inconsistent. This is where we find out what type of coach Kirby is. This is where he can prove a lot of folks wrong. We seriously have no excuse not to win out with our only remaining acceptable loss being UF.

Very easy....hard to come up with anything to "coach 'em up" with when you were winning with 4 seconds left in the game.....

Columbia is a tough place to play in, for sure. They get to playing that loud music and waving those stinking white towels around. Their teams should get fired up in an atmosphere like that.

Yes, we have. I'm chalking it up to a young team with a young(Inexperienced) coach. However, as time goes on, we should see this evening out a bit. I was really encouraged with our game with Tennessee. We saw a lot of growing up last week. Plenty more growing up to do, but the key is seeing consistent progress. If we have a solid game this week, we will see some consistency. This is the time for it with South Carolina and Vanderbilt. Gain some confidence, get some consistency. I actually believe this is the most important stretch of the season. How we react to South Carolina and Vanderbilt will tell us if we are moving forward or stagnating. I think we see Smart growing more the next two weeks and momentum in the program gaining for the Florida game.

Smart better take care of that. That is one of the reasons Richt is gone.

That was a trap game for A&M, coming between Arkansas and Tennessee.

It should but if the game is played in a pouring down rain, I could easily see SC pulling 3 to nothing upset.

We have a better OL (surprisingly) and better running backs. A messy field actually favors us, if you ask me.

However, no doubt that Elliot Fry is 100x better than any kicker we have on our roster.
