I'm trying to slim down and get rid of cable. Has anyone used College sports live for watching UGA games? Most games will be on VUE but I wanted to calm my fears by reassuring myself I would have a backup plan if needed.

I know CBS has free streams of all their games on their website no login needed, so that's like 3-4 games out of the year.

Get Amazon Fire, get a friends Comcast login (for ESPN and SEC Network games), get an HD antenna and you are all set.

Never used college sports live, but slingtv is great IMO.

No contract, you just pay month to month. For the package that includes all of the ESPN channels (including SEC Network) it is only $25. (also includes stuff like A&E, CNN, HGTV, History, etc.)

You need a good internet connection and there is no DVR option.

They do a free trial for a week or two.

Doing the same this year. Using Vue plus I was able to pick up all of the OTA channels about 50 miles out from Atlanta with a $20 antenna. Your Vue subscription plus CBS(OTA or streaming) should cover pretty much everything, unless we get stuck on ABC for the Tech game or some oddball shite like that.

Just went to the site for College sports live and it looks pretty good with stuff like coach's shows, etc.

Do they broadcast all of the actual games on there if you're a subscriber?

I'm just apprehensive.

I have fire TVs in the house using PlayStation VUE which has ABC, CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FS1, FS2 and SEC network. I however don't have faith in internet streaming sites (they are new to me). If VUE went down I would hate to have guests over and no game.

If you're streaming you need to check out KODI if you haven't already.

I think you have to be a member.

How close would one come to their data cap with their service provider doing this exclusively? Mine is 300GB.

Also, would any of these packages with ESPN channels also have AMC? What about broadcast networks (HD antenna is not an option for me)?

Are you using Kodi? I wouldn't call it hacked. You don't have to jail break it and adding Kodi only takes a minute.

Exactly what I did season before last, when season was over, I just shut it down and hooked the cable back up (on a great deal as a "new customer" too... )

Supplement with all the CBS games streaming live on their website.

And no DVR, but you can pause it!

I think I only had to go to a bar to watch one game. Worked great.

Can't do it this season though, unless SlingTV adds Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger.

Get the PBS Kids app if you have Roku or a Smart tv. They have Daniel Tiger, Curious George, etc. on there for free.

Yes. You do have to sideload Kodi which may not be simple for some, and thats if your not using a android device. Also adding builds cuts out all the work of having to add indivual addons. The builds I have a sports sections broken down for you already.

On Kodi - I have it sideloaded on Amazon Fire Stick but only have a few Addons installed. Exodus, SALTS, Phoenix. Which Addons have should I have for viewing College Football?

FYI - I also have Sling TV which is great. ESPN games and SEC Network. Can't beat $25 a month. I even paid $15 more for this month to get 5 NBC affiliated channels to watch Olympics - I'll be cancelling and going back to $25 package next week.

I get close to 35 mps down on my internet connection so I haven't had issues with streaming - even over wifi - although i did add a range extender to bring my fire tv close to wifi connection. Working well so far.
