so Mason will finally have to act like a for-real SEC QB.

This game could be ugly for us. Gurley accounts for 36% of our offense and now that is diminished.

Yesterday I poured out some liquor for Gurley, today life goes on. I like your optimism. Can I have some?

The fact that everybody is picking Mizzou is an insult to our coaching staff. Go back and look at the recruiting class differences between the two school the past five years. It's not even close, Georgia should have far superior athletes, even without Todd Gurley. If Mizzou wins easily today, it is a very clear picture of where our coaching staff and program are right now.

I wonder what our recruiting ranks would be if you subtract every player that has left or been dismissed from the team. I bet it's not good.

That's a great point, and I have thought about, I still don't think it would be close. We still have the superior recruits. It's all about their 11 vs our 11 and their game plan vs ours. We will learn a lot today about our coaching staff.

Exactly what do you need to learn that we don't already know? We've been here before.....

How many Juniors and Senior are they playing versus UGA? I haven't looked at it maybe it's the same. Seems like UGA is playing a lot more young players especially on defense which would negate any recruiting advantage.

They don't have a Lorenzo Carter but how much can you expect out of a first year player?

Well considering we have a new defensive staff and an offense that doesn't have an Aaron Murray or a Todd Gurley for the first time in five years, I think we have a lot to learn. No?

We have two senior receivers, two on the O-line, center most importantly, Mason, our front seven has about as much experience a front 7 could have, and Damien Swann is a senior. Mizzou lost a ton of talent this past year in the most crucial areas. Qb, Wr, d-line, etc. We have no excuse to lose this game, even without Gurley.

note to all concerned..the rest of college football hasn't been impressed with our coaching staff and especially Richt for some time now.

UGA will lose, was gonna lose, for the same reason they been losing for 10 years.

Defense sucks. Bobo is finess when he should be brute force.

While this is true, due to gross attrition, the team we put on the field is significantly less talented than our cumulative recruiting rankings. We've lost a lot more than just Gurley: Michel, Marshall, multiple receivers and multiple members of the Secondary. And our QB sat on the bench behind Murray for most of his career for a reason. For Georgia to win today, Mason must have his best game ever.
