I think we will have to throw a good bit. Their defense is one of their biggest improvements.

You haven't been paying attention. We don't have a defensive player that can cover Smelter. They'll also get their yards on the ground. TO's and FIELD POSITION will decide this game. You're crazy as hell if you think we're gonna kick their arse.

I don't agree with that at all. Smelter has done well, but he's not uncoverable. The main concern in pass coverage against tech is whether the db's get caught up in run coverage and leave somebody wide open. Tech quarterbacks under Johnson have never been very accurate, but they usually have pretty decent yards per attempt because defenses focus on the run.

Well... no shite. You don't say? That's part of the scheme. UGA will have to be disciplined enough in the gaps and cover the edges well or they will get torched.

Again... it's all about the scheme. This is Tech's best QB under Johnson. Better than JN. I've watched several of their games and they are pretty good this year. Thomas also has a better arm and he's more accurate. Thomas seems to be most comfortable throwing the back shoulder. NOT SAYING WE LOSE, but it's going to be a great game.
