First, why even say this? Because it's an observation I felt worth sharing. You may a agree or disagree and that's OK. It's a message board where we exchange information, ideas, whatever.

Hey.....like I said earlier. I agree with you. Chubb DOES seem fresher. I understand what the others are saying about the longer runs, but it is MUCH more tiring for a running back to be running through and breaking tackles than it is to run away from tacklers. Yest, Chubb just seems to want the ball every down.

I understand perfectly what you are saying and think it has merit.

This will put it into perspective.... and I'm going with Hearst and Gurley tied at #2. I also agree Chubb will end up being a better running back before it's all said and done, not a band wagon jumper, said it after the Clemson game. He just looks a step faster to me and a little sharper on his cuts. When he figures out what he is doing....look out. Regardless we are in good shape for a few years at rb with he and Sony back there.

Damn, I had forgotten how good Worley was and Hearst was just a beast. Marshall is so fast. I sure wish he could get healthy and play another season.

Gurley is irrelevant and will be forgotten. Chubb is the REAL DEAL.

This has to be some kind of troll. I notice that you've all over the boards throwing insults at Gurley. If you're gonna troll, you have to display some level of believability, and calling Todd Gurley irrelevant doesn't meet that standard. I love both Chubb and Michel, but nobody in the college game right now has Gurley's combination of speed, power, vision and balance.

Chubb is going to have to improve a lot before he even comes close to Gurley. Gurley is a once in a generation talent. The announcers were awful this past weekend, but they said that Chubb has been hit at the line of scrimmage in something like 48% of his carries, while Gurley has been hit somewhere in the 20s. The offensive lines are the same, so what is the difference? Thats Gurley's immaculate vision. Chubb is a dang good back, and will improve, but when you watch him, as soon as he gets the ball, he runs full speed to the point to where the play is called. It doesnt matter if a defender is there or not. He is still going towards where the play is called. Gurley on the other hand, is much more patient. You see Gurley run the ball, and a lot of times he isnt touched for 5 yards. Thats because he waits to see the play develop, and uses his great vision and agility to cut to where the hole is. A dive might be called to the left side, but Gurley is so patient, he sees the defense, and if a hole isnt there, he cuts back to where to hole is, and gets yards that most backs dont get. Thats the difference in Gurley averaging over 8 yards a carry, and Chubb averaging 5.
