will put 7 to 8 in the box, run stunts to stop the run , make Mason read and beat them with his arm. Bobo better have him working the quick release. FWIW that's what I'd do.

They're probably legitimately worried about ECU. I wonder if they can even afford to think ahead to us.

If we can run the ball like we did against one of the better defensive fronts in football....we can against usc. Having JSW back also will help

Agree on all points above. If uga develops vertically the offense will be unstoppable. Gotta make them pay for stacking box.

We had 1 pass longer than the 10 yard range. There is no way to be successful like this long term. Mason's game may be the short pass underneath, etc but some longer routes are needed to keep them honest.

What I saw was some of the same miscommunication between Mason and receivers from the Tech game. Hopefully, the get their timing down.

Real dog... Clemson played a 3 and 4 deep zone and regularly had 7 plus in the zone. The open passes were in the 7 to 12 yard areas for the most part. Mason was smart enough to throw there and did not press on the down field plays. It has very little to do with stacking a box. It had to do with their LBs not dropping back due to PA. Clemson most certainly sold out on the run. Their issue, which Bobo clearly saw and conveyed, was that they were attackiing gaps and over pursuing. That is why we did so well on misdirection and cut backs. Once we mind fricked them with that, the toss sweep worked well in the 4th becasue they were tired and respecting the cut back lanes.

The only thing they could have done diffrently really was to play press man more, but we hit the slants when they did that and they were a missed tackle from a TD in a few of those plays.

Bottom line, you cant stack the box more than Clemson did without a pair of NFL level CBs . USC does not have that...

JSW will be back, no? I'm wondering what a good couple more weeks can do for Mitchell but I'm not holding my breath. I don't expect him back until maybe Mizzou.
