I don't have a problem with players smoking pot by any means, but he knew after the first two arrests one more would be it...and he still is driving around with bud. Shows he doesn't really care about his team or UGA.
This, plus he was parking in a handicapped spot. So frick HIM! The handicapped thing really gets me, as he is a DIV 1 athlete, freaking sorry arse.
But how can someone get a 'charge' for keeping marijuana in a container? That is a B.S. charge, but dude deserves to be off the team. How hard is it to smoke at someones house and just chill there?

That info is in error: he was charged for NOT keeping a controlled substance in a proper container. A controlled substance is a prescription drug: after he was arrested and jailed, the police found a pill of Alprazolam - or Xanax - in the pocket of his jacket. Apparently GA has a Controlled Substance Act law which is a felony violation, of keeping prescription pills in their labeled containers. I guess so people won't ingest prescribed drugs without knowing what drugs they really are for, and getting sick. This was in addition to a possession of marijuana charge and the handicap parking charge.
According to the news report I saw, he was found by police asleep in his car parked in the handicapped parking lot of a Quiktrip. The police tapped the window, and then opened the door, but he didn't wake up until he was tapped on the shoulder.
He very well could have parked in the handicapped lot while he was under the influence, and didn't realize it was handicapped, but the arrest reported took place at 2:30 pm Wednesday, so it was in the middle of the day....

Well if that is the case, then the whole problem is xanax! I've had friends use and abuse them, and xanax really is about the worst drug you can take, as it can literally kill you if you quit it cold turkey (with a dependence). So yeah if he passed out in a handicapped spot and wouldn't wake up with the police knocking on the door, then I can almost say with certainty that Rivers was on them xanax's. Xanax really can frick with people, as the ones that I knew on them would get black out fricked up and wouldn't remember shite the next day.
