Without Nick Chubb? I really dont care to see Chubb until the Tennessee game. Can we beat UNC with just Sony and Elijah?

Absolutely, no reason to think otherwise.

UNC loses a good bit from their good team last year. Obviously we'll be a total question mark as well so I'm not predicting a win right now, just saying that obviously we "can beat the tar heels" without chubb.

I rather sit him down the first couple of games and let Sony take charge. Its all about the LOS

Yeah if he's not 100% I would prefer not to rush him back either, especially since we get a gimme in game 2. But I don't think chubb will be where the game is won or lost.

Chubb will play and will be 100% and absolutely no reason to sit him when that is going to be the case...why would you sit a guy out, until arguably our biggest game in determining the SECe, and have his first game back in a year be that game? This isnt a video game

I wouldn't necessarily hold him out til Tennessee, but unless they're feeling *really* good about where he is, I could see us holding him out of the first 2 games and sliding him in at Mizzou. If he's definitely at 100%, would still like to see a phased in approach through those first few games with limited/sparing usage, but ultimately I'm confident in Smart/Courson's decision making process here. Can't put him in a cage and keep him safe forever... gotta let the kid go out there and do what he was meant to do, which is run over, around, and through SEC defenders.

I'm pretty concerned about our D line depth for this game. Ledbetter and Rivers will both be suspended. Hawkins and Barnett are both missing valuable developmental time due to their injuries holding them out the rest of the spring. Everyone has said their injuries aren't that serious, but who knows if they might linger on into camp in August. Hopefully, Rochester, Clark, and Carter will be serviceable in some capability, but even Trent Thompson took half the season to really make much an impact.

I have read what the team, coaches, trainers have said. I have seen the videos of him running. It is not "very" optimistic at all. Its not even "very" optimistic that he is 100% to starting camp this fall...when players report.

I have seen the video of him running ,I don't see how you get (back to 100% )from that. Make no mistake ,I hope you're 100% right and I'm wrong.

No question we can win. From what I've seen from Holyfield, and he has an ounce of his Dad's heart and determination, and Sony in there, and we are not even talking the passing game,yes.......But,if Nick Chubb is 100%, play him

Yep, I was just talking to my friend the other day, and she said that Chubb is raring to go. She said that he is fully participating in almost every drill, and started doing some very light contact stuff this week. She said that he knows not to rush anything, but he is definitely acting like he will be in the first game.

You have to respect the guy, to come back from such a brutal injury, and to bust his arse every day is just so awesome to see.
