Side note, could really go for some peach cobbler from Lanes
You talking about Lanes Peaches in Ft. Valley? I worked at Pearson-Lane back in the early 80's making boxes one year, and loading trucks another. Think I made 3.15/hr. Loading docks was the best job in the place b/c of the refrigerated trucks.

With the exception of GA tech, the same would have happened at the rest of the universities in GA. Not sure about Mercer though.
Again, why are you trolling this thread?

I'll have to say the Lane peaches were pretty bad this year.
Pearson's were on point, as always.

Not sure why. Both UGA and Southern would have done the same thing and make me go straight to Calculus.

Must be new. Didn't happen with me.

Maybe?
They both said the same thing since my I had over 700 on my SATs that I would be going straight to Calculus.

SC produces MORE peaches than GA now, as do about 4 or 5 other states. As for quality, I don't know that I can support the idea of SC peaches being better, unless human excrement makes for a tastier peach, in which case they would have to be.
If you want the true best peaches in 'Merca...they are grown in Colorado.

I'm probably wrong about this, but isn't peaches not even the most produced crop in the state?

Yeah, I think this is right. Though I don't recall what crop is.

Peaches are not even the largest fruit crop. And cotton is the biggest cash crop

Pretty sure it's peanuts.

Yes, just on the math portion.

I was thinking it was either peanuts or pecans.

Georgia is perennially the number one state in the nation in the production of peanuts, broilers (chickens), pecans and watermelons. We are also near the top when it comes to cotton, peaches, eggs, tobacco, tomatoes, onions, cantaloupes, cabbage and blueberries. Producers across the state raise cattle, horses, goats, sheep, hogs, poultry, turkeys and alligators. No matter which part of our state you visit, you’ll see some form of agricultural production.
