That's actually the way it's supposed to be. Key has publicly stated tech football's purpose in life is to win back the state.
It's about time a tech coach understands this. It won't matter, but at least he understands it and it will hurt that much more when we beat them.

It was a real rivalry for much more than just the 90s.
Theron Sapp's number is retired for scoring the go-ahead TD to break a losing streak to Tech. That's how big the rivalry used to be. To put it into perspective, the only other retired numbers at UGA are Herschel, Sinkwich, and Trippi.
