Break-Out Player(s) in 2015?............

We all knew Chubb was going to be good, and the fall of Gurley II had a lot to do with it......but would anybody have predicted that he'd rattle off eight 100+ yard games in a row as a starter or whatever it was....and pretty much carry the team on his back as a freshman..

Any predictions on who might be a surprise under-the-radar break-out star in 2015?

Offense or Defense?

I think one of our LB's. I'll go with Johnny O'neal.

Offense: J-Park
-i watched his highlight real, and he basically closes his eyes and makes big play after big play by mere inches.
-that's not Luck. this dude has magical powers.

Defense:Rico McGraw
-because that's a kick-arse name, right there.

J-Park scrambling / and deep-ball to Mitchell threat/success.......

Chubb profits.

I'm going with Chubb now, to break out even further.

Tim Kimbrough. Played outstanding on special teams last year, think he could be a force at ILB

Lorenzo becomes a guy you dont ever take off the field. Earns all-sec.

Blazevich builds off his freshman season. Schotty maximizes his talent out, and Jeb gets 50+ catches and 8 TDs.

I agree. I think Lamont could have a very good year.

Solid thread!

I'm real excited about the football team this year it just seems like things are moving in the right direction on so many fronts.

I walked outside this morning and there were no leaves on the trees.... Now, a few hours later, they're covered in tiny green leaf blossoms....

We appear to be in some sort of time warp, and September will be here in a few seconds.......but everyone here is sitting on their arse talking basketball and divorce law.

There is work to be done!

Great call on Dominick Sanders. He was flying around during the bowl game looking like he was gonna be a dangerous DB.

I'm also intrigued by Gilliard. I remember when he committed I was excited. Love when we get big time potential DL.

I'll add a bit of an odd choice: JSW. 2013 he had some huge moments against SC and LSU. Obviously he got hurt and did some dumbass things to get suspended but he is fast as hell and maybe can get things together this season. We could use his experience, that's for sure.

And come on, Jefferson, get on board with the basketball thing. This team is a mature, humble and hungry group. Ever been in Stegeman when it's full and we're playing solid? It can be a good time.

Galliard. I think. Now you've got me all fricked up.

He was a 247 5 Star when he committed, but then fricked up a leg or something. Bama withdrew their offer, so the rating services took away a star.

I met Hegedus over spring break. He seemed like a good guy and I'm a fan now. It really speaks to the potential of our team that we have so many candidates for the "breakout player" label.
