That close in they should have run the ball to the middle of the field.

Actually Sharrif Floyd did, oddly enough.

He had a strong start, but it tailed off to about where Donnan left it.

I was feeling bad for Walsh but then I googled that he makes 3.2M a year kicking a football. This comes with the territory of being a kicker in the NFL. Hopefully this type of stuff doesn't get in his head and turn him into that old Colts kicker who couldn't make a clutch kick to save his life (Vanderjagt?) but would be automatic from 50+ against the Texans in October.

You seem to forget that donnan recruited a ton of talent to Uga as well.

Interesting. That 2002 team was pretty damn good littered with Donnan's recruits.

Revisionist history is pretty amazing. I actually appreciate Mark Richt's time here at UGA. He really did bring us to the "consistently good" status, with occasional years with better than good, but to think that Donnan wasn't recruiting well is silly. Hell, the state of Georgia produces *much* better quality recruits now, so not sure you can chalk the recruiting to Richt directly. 15-20 years ago, Georgia didn't have the same quality HS kids, so that definitely helps.

Heard Butler talking about it this morning. He thought the kick was rushed because the Seahawks came close to blocking his previous FG.

Also said the Vikings should have run the ball towards the right hash mark because Blair has a tendency to hook especially if he's trying to get it off in a hurry.

Didn't think the laces turned the wrong way had anything to do with it.

JD was as good a recruiter as CMR. Couldn't beat Ga. Tech.
