Starters save Junkyard Dawg are playing like shite. Reserves nearly saved the day. Getting put out with a Walless Washington will be shameful.

I honestly haven't been a big Hawks fun for the majority of my life despite living in Georgia and loving basketball my entire life. They were just such a horrendous organization throughout the late 90s-2000s. However, I have taken an interest and have started to try and cheer them on through this run even though they still don't feel like "my team" like UGA, Braves, etc. After last night's game, hearing Carroll being interviewed during the postgame really made me feel for the first time like I might actually care about this team. He didn't say a word about himself (despite the reporters asking about his performance), instead he just said that this run was for the fans and the city of Atlanta which really made me appreciate the type of players on their roster compared to all of the JR Smith and Paul Pierces out there. Point being that the Hawks now have a great core group of athletes to look up to and value team basketball which is refreshing and something I can get behind for NBA basketball.

I love Carroll. He's going to get paid but I hope it's by us.

Agreed. I love Korver but he needs to step his game up in the 4th quarter.

Korver is slumping but have to give him credit, he has been very good defensively. Also the way teams are face guarding him and helping screens it still helps our offense. We are essentially playing 4 on 4 offensively, opens the court up.

Agreed. Korver isn't getting many open shots and that will continue against the Cavs which is fine because it removes a defender and makes it easier for the Hawks to move the ball

Playoff defense. He is getting his share of shots. The larger problem is he is missing them. Carroll has emerged as the best player on the team.
And here is the rub, Carroll and Millsap are both free agents in addition to Antic. We have to sign Carroll, but I think Millsap is probably a goner to be replaced by the draft choice, but I hope we can do keep both and the pick. Tough decisions - I want my Ferry back.

I'm totally fine with losing Millsap. We are going to have to give up someone and I would much rather it be him than Carroll.
