Getting ready to transition from active duty to civilian this summer and franchises have been in the discussions of possible business venture. What franchise needs to come to Athens or Bogart? Smashburger? Red Robin? Panera Bread? Pizza Ranch?

Panera Bread has been in Athens for a long time now, same with Jason's deli.

Really hard to think of a franchise Athens doesn't have or that it doesn't have an equal to. Hell, it has two Cook Outs, a Freddy's, and a Cane's.

If anything, maybe a Caribou Coffee. If I'm not mistaken, they franchise those out...

And if you can manage to fit it between the Starbucks, Einstein Bros, and Jittery Joes on Broad, I'd be really impressed at your willingness to throw away money

... And Athens Bagel Co around the corner on Jackson
Although I wouldn't be surprised if it bites the dust soon. Jackson St books already shut it doors recently.

Probably Grindhouse or Clocked are the closest but there are burger joints all over the damn place in Athens

I actually think of red robin being closer in comparison to the likes of chilis than a smaller joint like clocked or grind house. They have a full menu unlike the more local places. Think: Buffalo Wild Wings but burgers....

I was going to say chilis but figured the two I mentioned fulfilled that sort of "gourmet burger selection" thing that red robin goes for better than chilis

Things have changed just from 3 or 4 years ago. I remember when Momma Gs was just opened and they couldn't get people over to that side of town.
