06 @ Auburn was definitely an example of over performing. Still one of my favorite games. I thought for sure we were gonna get whooped. Tra Battle still haunts Brandon Cox's dreams I bet.

Richt has plenty of games where the team over performed, or upset the other team. Unfortunately, we do tend to get beat by teams that we should beat. THIS year, it is just magnified because had we just won the games we should have won easily, we would be undefeated and ranked in the top 4 right now. I am a HUGE Richt fan, but there are definitely areas that need to tighten up.

However, Georgia fans are the absolutely worst about screaming for heads after every single loss. It's embarrassing to say the least. I've not seen another fan base that melts down quite like we do.

Half of what is said on here is .

Next time you see Mason, tell him to STFU to his face.

Richt keeps us in the hunt, and we will probably be in the playoffs at least 2 of the next 5 years. He past record against all teams, and our hated rivals is more than acceptable.

I guess since only 5 years is relevant, any coach that doesn't win a natty every 5 years should be fired.

Seriously.

I am guessing you meant this for someone else? I didn't say that and I support Richt. I saw where somebody else made that statement, but I can assure you, it wasn't me.

This Richt argument gets kind of old. The fans that want him gone have solid points and the fans that want him to stay have solid points. He hasn't really won shite in 9 years and has a horrible record against ranked teams in that same time span, so if I woke up tomorrow and he were gone I wouldn't really care. If his career were reversed and his past 5-6 years were his first he wouldn't he be here now...or maybe he would.

Because you get upset at yet another stunning loss to a team we should have beaten and even the players say they weren't taking the game seriously is an indictment of the coaches and the head coach especially. This happens once to twice a year.

The other coaches the article references are from a different era save perhaps Williams and even he has been in the game much longer than Richt. The hurdle rate has increased and the time frame has shortened. Look at the hated Myer at Ohio State who pretty much as them in the playoff in his third year, and don't give me the Big 10 crap, he did the same thing at Fla. That's coaching.

So, if you want to win 10 to 6 games a year and go to a good to lower tier bowl, he is your guy.

If you want more than that, then he is not your guy. That has been demonstrated beyond doubt and was clearly on display against Fla when they had everything in the world to play for and stunk up the joint - that is coaching pure and simple.

But don't think he is going anywhere. The odds of that are longer than UGA winning the NC.
