Are ticket prices keeping any of you from going to away games this year?

Not for the people who don't go to them anyway, but for people who do semi-regularly attend away games, are the hike in ticket prices making anyone rethink? This is as bad a year as I can remember for us being price gouged.

Vandy- $60
UT- 90
AU- 115
tech- 90

I realize that home teams will charge visitors more than they charge their home fans, I get that. But geez 115 for auburn? tech and ut both 90? This is getting ridiculous, and unfortunately I doubt it slows down anytime soon. I remember when we went to OSU in '09 they charged us $100 and I thought that was insane. Now 3 of our 4 away games are all in that range.

Imma doing more road games than home games this year...

3 at home, SCe, Bama & Mizzou, my son gets the other 4 games...

4 road games, Tenn, WLOCP, AU & GT...

ETA:... at least we return the favor & charge them the same price they charge us when they come to Sanford...

didn't know that. I knew we charged them more than $45 but didn't know it was eye for an eye. Geez at this rate the 2020 UGA/AU game will be $200

Yeah the AU prices are through the roof. Heck, the student tickets for the AU game were 90$ a couple years ago.

I just applied for young alumni tickets. So, assuming I get them, I should be covered for home games. Road games...I have the money, but I'm not sure if that's where I should be spending it right now.

Vandy at $60 is absurd. I honestly think they'll lose to Western Kentucky week 1, and then sell them for cheap the following week. Well... at least I'm hoping that's the case.

Yup... You will be able to pick up a ticket offa the ground 15 min. before kickoff. I almost always buy my tix from UGA just to support the program & sit in a dawg section but this is one I'd have to pass on... You can get in the door for less than $10 & sit where you want...

I think Auburn has really upped their prices for our game as well. I believe they have different ticket prices for home games depending on the opponent and believe ours is $90 for certain tickets relatively close to the visitor section

I bought a student away Auburn ticket in 2012(the year they won like 3 games or something awful). shite was like 85 bucks in the worst section in the stadium. Friend couldn't make the trip and I couldn't sell his ticket for 10 bucks

The schools want to do two things:

1: Have tickets returned so they can brag to their alumni base "SO and So school is chickenshit, won't even come to the game because they know they gonna lose"

2: Have tickets returned so they can resell them to their own fanbase at EXCLUSIVE ONETIME OMG DEALS "last minute" deals at even MORE money then they were trying to get from the visiting team.
