I don't know about that.
Well, you never managed to acknowledge that CMR took this program to levels not seen since the early 80's, in fact you were a constant critic no matter how many games we won. So, it's not a new thing for you to see the program in a bad light.
I happen to agree with you, Kirby's off to a bad start and it's not encouraging. But, if we're wrong and he wins Richt's 10 game average this season, I'll admit I was wrong. You most likely will not.

With the dumpster fire CMR left at qb expectations cant be all that

He's 2 - 0 with a win over a leading ACC team in his first game. Today was ugly ... but it was one game.

I think most of us on here expect at least 3-4 L's this year.

I knew LSU was going to stink before you did.

The quarterback situation isn't perfect, but it's not any worse than last year. People seem to think Eason is a huge upgrade, at least they're dead certain that he's better than Lambert right now. I'm not certain about that, but the quarterback situation shouldn't be worse than last year. Neither should the OL, RB's or TE's. The problem is coaching and/or play calling IMO.
People are blaming the OL today, but every team we face will sell out to stop our run game. We have nearly a half dozen good TE's, and they've hardly been targetted for the first two games. And we have several RB's who can catch. Georgia has to be able AND WILLING to pass 40 times if necessary, until defenses back off and spread out. If Chaney didn't figure that out this offseason, he might as well start now. And if Eason doesn't know the playbook well enough to run that kind of offense, then we may have to alternate until he has it down.
Also, our defense scheme looks passive and against better OL's and qb's we'll struggle (Trubisky sucked). If Smart and Tucker have something more effective under wraps, best bring it out soon.

I would be jumping for joy if Kirby wins 10 this season.
Richt was a good coach but not good enough. He got 15 years and just couldn't get UGA to make that final leap into the elite. And last few seasons, seemed like he was okay with that.
Whether Kirby can, who knows. Let's hope what we saw Saturday will be a learning experience.

This game didn't feel like a talent issue nor a coaching issue. It felt more like an effort issue...specifically the OL. Protection was none existent, much less opening gaps. You allow that with an experienced QB and he's going to have issues making decisions. Throw in a rook and boom the struggle is real.
Lucky for us we aren't going to be digging ourselves out of a whole next week. We won, so all is not lost. At this point corrections can still be made and given the talent on our roster we could still take off. Look at the positives.
Everybody saw Big Trent flip a switch on the DL. The DL was suppose to be our vulnerable area. We are still deep at RB. Our young QB had pressure on him the entire game. Experience he needed against a team we were still able to come out with a "W" against. I think there is a lot to learn from this game that can be used down the road. So until next week...

Still expect a 9-3 type season.

I'm not a fan of pulling Eason immediately after his first INT and never letting him see the field again afterwards. That sends the wrong message.

Nope.
Thought this season would be an 8-4, 9-3 type of season.
Still think that.
Just leaning more towards 8-4 right now.

UNC with Trubisky at quarterback is a shell of last years team
The shell of a team just hung 48 on a Lovie Smith coached Illni team at their house.. While admittedly the Illini are not a great team, they are a D1 Big Ten team.
If you want to slit your wrists, I fully support you. Just do it in silence.

These are mostly Richt's players.
Kirby cant wave a magic wand and turn them into champs in a single offseason.
But... This was a ten win team last year with mostly the same roster, arguably with incoming freshmen better than last years grads.. Arguably a better roster this year, top to bottom.
I do expect 10 wins this year.. No more than 3 losses.
It will take time to load the lines with quality nfl linemen.

We all need to remember CKS came in to this saying his biggest concern was/is the OL. Does this make things better? No. He does seem to be right on at present.
Or was he preloading an excuse for failure.
By the way...we are 2-0. It could be worse.

Without Pruitt we lose at least 2 more games last year. CMR was just taking up space on the sideline.

We were up 26-14 and driving for another touchdown to put the game away when a lucky interception occurred.
Yes it was ugly as hell, but it's a win. We can talk shite on the team's effort all we want, but I barely wanted to be there to watch Nicholls play. I could hardly imagine having to get up the desire to play 100% against them.
Calm the frick down.

Then I guess our pick 6 was also just luck.
Without that lucky play, we lose this game.
