Yep. If the LSU game taught us anything it is that if we are doing well against a big opponent, then Sanford can be one of the loudest in the SEC. The only problem is we do have too many 55-60+'s.

We also some country club/hipster students who doesn't care about UGA football who shows up to the game only to leave at half time as a social gesture.

The hipster students don't even bother with tickets. Now, the Greek Life students- they love to show up late and leave early.

This is one area where the AD dragging arse has been a good thing. CFB attendance is down across the board. McGarrity picked up 2500 additional seats with the "Young Alumni" deal by reducing the student allotment. This worked out great, that was about the number of seats we needed for the waiting list & it reduced the student no-shows...

Texas A&M going from 85,000 to 105,000 is ridiculous & they will rue the day they didn't stop at 95-98,000...

Sanford is just about perfect for the supply/demand of Bulldog Nation. There'll be years like '08 where the minimum donation for new season tix might reach $10,000. But they'll be years like the last 2-3 where all season ticket requests were met...

Just use the funds to continue to upgrade the facilities & game experience & we're good to go at Sanford...

Now...Stegman & Foley Field tho...

A&m won't have a problem selling the stadium and barring a complete colas during the season, the won't have much of a problem filling the seats either. They have had one of the larger student populations for over 50 years in the country, which leads to one of the larger alumni populations.

where would you put the seats?...the 600 section is beyond ridiculous. any additions such as a third level in the endzone would be even worse..

would rather see all the other facilities brought out of the 1980's.

I am not sure where they could put them. I was more curious if the university would try to stay on par with the seating at the other schools stadiums. I myself like the stadium as is but I have tickets anyway . From the other post it seems like the school is happy with how it is as well. Perhaps if attendance picks up we will see some growth.

future predictions imply less attendance with such liberal TV coverage and rising gameday costs...lots of folks stay home or meet in groups to view the games...with the cost rising and such TV coverage the guess is less attendance in the future..I think past 90,000 most stadiums become so big and cumbersome that it becomes a nightmare just to park, much less tailgate, postgame pub crawl then go home around midnight. then do it again 6 more times in a 2 month period...

This was the only feasible idea being proposed. It will be built in about 2 years and will be called Leverage Level. I will have a big arse throne in the middle and all my ladies will fill up the other 7k seats. We will party and do the train track generation proud.

The AD has to look 20 or more years into the future. If the NFL goes to minor leagues, and TV revenue drops, and competition from other entertainment sources keeps getting more reliable, like the ability to watch a game on my phone, seamlessly, and run my own replays etc, or even on my own TV, and more and more baby boomer season ticket holders start dying off, and the economy never really gets better because this is the new normal, young people don't jump off into good entry level jobs after college that would afford them regular gameday excursions, they may have some trouble filling the existing seats in the future. AD's fiscal responsibility means he has to look out further than the 2 or 3 years it would take to build it. And its worth mentioning at this point, the AD's cash reserves are actually less than half of what the AD's debt currently is.
